Bit late as the first round of games this month kick off tonight, but nevertheless, how will you do in October do you think?

For Crewe Alex:

Gillingham(H) - Draw. Going optimistic despite our long injury list, we usually match up against them at Gresty Road pretty well, so I'm hoping we can battle out a low scoring draw.

Doncaster(A) - Loss. The ultimate revenge game for us humbling them in the PO 2nd leg. They lost their last home game, so will be doubly desperate to get one over us. Think this has got defeat written all over it.

Salford(H) - Win. They're pretty poor in the games I've seen, got a few players who can cause problems no doubt, but I see no reason why we can't be targeting a win from this one.

Fleetwood(A) - Draw. Clearly a tricky side who enjoy fast starts but find them hard to maintain. Could see a loss, but hoping we can come back with a point, even if it is a midweek game.

Tranmere(H) - Win. Another poor looking side who lack goals, much like Salford. They've got a strong back line though, so can see another low scoring game. But again, don't see why we can't be looking at 3 points.

So, 2-2-1 would be a great month I think. Potential for less if the injuries don't clear up mind.

On paper it's a month that's a good opportunity to pick up plenty of points, particularly in the three home games. Hopefully we can properly put down a marker in terms of the league and go along at over 2 points a game which I think is manageable.

Grimsby H - Win - Their fans on here appear to have already given this one up, so hopefully their team is on the same page.
Crewe A - Defeat - We have a rubbish record at Crewe, wouldn't be surprised if they turned us over.
Accrington H - Win - Can't go into this one with anything other than confidence of a win.
Bradford A - Draw - Tough old game this one, I think Bradford are probably our most played opponents over the last 15/20 years and it always seems pretty even between us.
Newport H - Win - Same as Accrington, we should win.
Swindon A - Win - They seem very beatable.

Tricky Month:

Colchester United (H) - Tricky one, decent side but at home hopefully we can sneak another WIN

Notts County (A) - Toughest game so far on paper, could go either way so will settle on a DRAW

MK Dons (A) - Their new boss will have settled and although we seem better against footballing sides think we will lose this LOSS

Fleetwood (H) - They are a decent outfit but hopefully can edge this one at home WIN

Harrogate (A) - They seem good at home DRAW

AFC Wimbledon (H) - Another big test, big day for John Rudge and hopefully the celebrations can continue with a decent result but think we will DRAW

9 Points from 18

Bromley (A) - WIN - just feel like our record is so poor here, we are due something now they play on a proper surface
Walsall (H) - DRAW - these are good and we aren't the best at home, albeit unbeaten so far. We need to start to turn it on at home, but think we will save that for County
Notts County (H) - WIN - see above - think we will be up for this one
Newport (A) - LOSE - can just see it, enter on a high and expectations up, then come crashing down. Horrendous friday night fixture
Colchester (H) - WIN - have fond memories of battering these under Paul Cook at home on a Tuesday night.
Morecambe (A) - WIN

13/18 - gone very ambitious but I have got 100% in Aug and Sept predictions points wise! Busy month, 5 out of 6 games on Sky too, so some horrendous away trips, Bromley tonight, Newport on a Friday and an early KO at Morecambe. Won't make any of those as things stand.

Colchester (h) - Draw - Got an uneasy feeling about this game tonight.

Notts (a) - Lose - Should be a good game but they’ve impressed me most when seen them on Sky.

MK (a) - Win - I think we are exactly the sort of team they’ll hate playing against so fancy this one (famous last words).

Fleetwood (h) - Win - We owe them at least one from last season.

Harrogate (a) - Lose - Looked a good team on TV against Doncaster and can see them giving us a difficult day.

Wimbledon (h) - Win - At least one of Curtis or Chislett have to come back to haunt their old club you would hope.

Fleetwood(h) Fancy us to nick this one tonight close game though 2-1 win.

Chesterfield (a) toughest test so far potentially I think we may lose this one 2-0 Loss.

Grimsby (a) Fancy us to win this one they seem to be struggling again so far 3-1 Win

Carlisle (h) again I think we will win this one going to take Williams time to implement what he wants to do there 2-0 win.

Accrington (a) they've looked poor from what I've seen so another win here 2-0 to us.

November looks much tougher for us though.

We've got a horrible looking run of games this month.

Port Vale, Chesterfield, Wimbledon and Barrow are the next 4. Ouch!

Felt we could go 2-2-1, went 3-2-0 instead, so better than I thought. Definitely a good October for us.
