Unfortunately my girl was in hospital, so couldn't go, nor watch it on tv, but the phone in after was raving about that being the best we have played, especially Nepo and mouche.

Was it more a case of Mansfield being shit (that's the impression I get on here) or us being good?

I thought Oldham were pretty decent in both games. Seen much worse.

Very much both - as stringy said you’re up with the better teams we’ve played over 2 games this season for sure. Your movement was decent and you dominated us on the wings where we normally prosper - looked like your manager outsmarted flitcroft - which isn’t always the hardest thing to do. The pass and movement for the 1st goal was quality tbh.

We were largely poor away again - if we play like that at MK were buggered

George is good for a young kid but tbh I don't think he is ready for any big move just yet. Its massively benefited him having Clarke next to him all season

If we signed him then I wouldn't be surprised if he was sent out on loan again, assuming Clarke or Huntington don't move on.

Seems we've had interest in him since before Christmas and will have room for another centre back in the summer.

A lot of players we sign aren't quite ready.

Only positive I can think of if we're in L2 again next season the woman I'd like to marry was working in that Greyhound pub.

I think George is prob just behind where tarkowski was at this age and I’m sure he will go on to play at least championship level but would like to keep him another season at least

Just looked back at a few videos and the Sky footage and it made me remember how brilliant the fans were for this - gunna need to keep that up for the last two games.

The fans have never been the issue.

It’s the players and the manger.

After the epic choke of last year, another failure would be pretty dire.

I know we can go up
You know we can go up
They know they can go up.

It’s just a case of delivering it

Christ Adam I was trying to be positive, we have promotion in our own hands - have a go after if we fuck it up.

I said we can do it and they can do it, better to be “negative” here than at the game. I, like hopefully everyone in the ground will be all positive tomorrow cheering them on hopefully getting them over the line.

You’re right, we’ve got the chance to do something special

In fairness to Adam, we've been pretty poor since suffering our second defeat of the season IMO. I'd like to see how many points we'd have over the course of the season if the PPG since that defeat was our average. I wonder if we'd have a play off place? Can anyone be bothered to work it out?

Providing I've done this correctly, it's 31 from 19 or 75 over a season, so about where you are now.

Difference is that you've generally either won or lost in the second half of the season whereas first half of the season you were drawing all the time.

That's interesting. I thought we had been worse. The defeats must linger in the mind much longer than additional draws.

What in tarnation does this mean?

It means I meet some mates in the Byron pub and him and a few mates usually join for a few before parting ways to different pubs.

I usually put a few quid in the slot machine and usually get about £20/30 out of it which pays for my day.

All is good

Ah okay, never heard of anyone dropping a bandit before - wasn't sure if it was just some new drug or something. Pleased it's more of a weird Mansfield/Notts vocabulary/accent thing as opposed to me being out of touch!

Maybe it is a mansfield thing and I’m also out of touch. Not living there and all
