Didn't see this coming.

I thought after his spell with us he would forge a career as coach rather than a manager.

It almost sounds like West Ham have a new manager in mind who has his own backroom staff.;)

Burnett? Really? He must be the only manager in the league who is in demand when most of our fans would be overjoyed if he left.

He's only just signed an extention as well.

According to all the rumours flying around he has been interviewed, whether or not its true I am not sure.

He was our youth team coach 5-6 years ago!

Colin Murray says Ferguson has it, one of our journalists reckons he doesn't.

Nobody knows, we find out next week sometime.....

Betting now totally suspended. Reckon we will find out Tuesday who has the job, it has dragged out big time, but I think its correct what Becchetti has done. He has been interviewing this week and will probably think about it over the weekend or he has made his decision and is waiting for his first choice to accept the job.

I don't think anyone really knows who's got it, but a few people in the know have passed round who's been for intervoews etc this last week.

The only winners this week, are the book makers who have probably made a tidy some from this vacant position.

See you Tuesday when I will no doubt be thorwing myself off a bridge, due to Ian Hendons appointment.

Ince, I don't want. Plus we'd get all the Notts County, MK Dons and Blackpool fans mocking US ALL THE TIME :ffs:

Hey, I like Paul. He was manager when we won the League Two title and JPT in the same season.

He is attack minded...

He is passionate...

The players additional training has now been cancelled...

Players should find out by the weekend whether they are retained or not, presumably Nugent is doing that.

According to people 'in the know' the new manager will be British and should be appointed next week. Paul Ince is a name branded about, Darren Ferguson has become the bookies new favourite. Other random name mentioned is Paul Le Guen.
Well it doesn't look likely now but that guy did manage big clubs like *ahem* PSG, Lyon and Rangers. He's done a silly mistake in going to coach Oman but to be fair he has a good record with them (even though he failed to qualify them for Brazil 2014). I doubt he'd sunk this low just to get back into European club management though (no offence).
