I got back at 11 last night from Carlisle so I didnt comment until now.

I cant believe we didn't win that. We should of at least scored 4. Akinde, Gash and Dembele all had golden chances to score. We looked dangerous from corners and everytime we attacked.

Carlisle will continue to score but their defence is truly awful. Your goalie looked suspect as well. Atmosphere from the home end was dreadful (even worse than the Hive;)) We could only hear a drum every 20 mins or so.

We had 28 shots, scored 2.
Carlisle probably had three proper chances and they took them all. Clinical.

Great ground and the away end is good.

Should of had a penalty that would of resulted in a red.

What penalty claim are you talking about?
I guess there are two appeals,. The one where Akinde appealed I can't work out what for, if it was deliberate handball then I can't see it.
the other one our player was taken out on the edge of the box looked a foul to me.

The one where the Carlisle keeper misjudged the ball, Akinde took it beyond him and tried to take it round a final defender - but it was handballed as he tried to do so.

A goal-scoring opportunity denied with a handball - I highly doubt he would have stayed on the pitch had it been given.

The only decision that went against you was the disallowed offside goal. Clearly onside.

But the lino's were shite, we were on the receiving end of an atrocious offside decision that would have left Ibehre clean through.

Highlights really don't show it as conclusive.

I have my own behind goal cam. I delete the footage once I've watched it because they are large files and I'm not supposed to have the cam there, but I watched it this morning and it never touched his hand.

From the away end, there was a clear view of the defenders hand changing the direction of the ball. It would be a pen and a red because it is a goal scoring opportunity.

I couldn't tell if it was offside or not from my view.

I didn't even realise there was an appeal for handball, couldn't tell from where I was sitting.

There were a few offside decisions that went against us, which I'm sure were incorrect, and I had a decent view.

I doubt it, because if it did touch his hand (it definitely 100% didn't by the way) it would be in no way deliberate. It has to be deliberate to be a sending off.. The player was that close to the ball leaving the Barnet players foot that he couldn't possibly chop his arms off in time to get out of the way.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I remember the Barnet fans shouting about that handball but never seen it really, our ground is quite large and sparse so it can be hard to see things other side of pitch.

I am not that surprised if they got it wrong, those officials seemed to just get everything wrong all game, I thought it was a pen first minute, was at least 3 horrendously bad offside/onside decisions so it would not really be a shock if they got others wrong, but with the way that game went on Saturday you were never going to get them sort've decisions, it was as they say 'just not your day'

Playing us is a tough one to judge other sides at the moment as we play a strange formation no one usually plays....3 at the back with only 1 covering midfielder and the 2 wide players so pushed forward they play in opposing box and this means we have little to no cover and enormous gaps all over the place as we usually only play 4 players in our own half.

Your manager exploited our formation superbly on sat, he played for the first 20 minutes 3 men in our box meaning it was normally 3 vs 3 and also went for it, but playing it very direct so our midfield was lost most of the game, problem was you also left huge gaping holes at the back and we exploited that better than you did in the end.

but 20 minutes in he seemed to play 1 forward with 2 drifting just behind but wide and that foxed us and then you totally dominated and we had to then sit 6-7-8 men in our half, but our players have been so drilled to attack and not defend the extra numbers did nothing for us and I think we were better to press the attack.

If we had 2 better CB's to allow us confidence to push on I think we'd won that 4 or 5-0, but as our CB's were dreadful you worried us so much we flooded our half and became a ridiculous sideshow of bad marking, no closing down and no organization.

that is curles problem right now, the formation is a lot of fun, but it must have us sure of defence to allow it to push on otherwise it falls apart as your then asking players told all week to attack to come back and suddenly mark up and make runs they were never planning to make. It will murder this formation if he doesn't get confidence in that back line soon.

As for barnet well I think you see Allen knows what hes doing and how to play, but I can see the Barnet fans arguments they bought poorly in summer, a better defence or forward line and that was a win.

There was a guy selling them at the corner of the East Stand and Warwick. Was it you who had already commented on half and half scarves in the things we hate about football thread? I remembered someone had.

Just our luck that our first really entertaining league fixture this season could only be watched by a small fraction of our support!

Personally I'm never that fussed about whether a game was exciting if we lost. Were I a Barnet fan I wouldn't be overly disappointed if I missed this game.

And oddly it's difficult to feel to happy with two league wins in a row and going into the top half of a division for the first time in what must be over 3 years, because the majority of our fans are going on as though we lost the game.

It is odd, I find, because there are always going to be games where you're second best and yet win, and usually the old cliche that it's the sign of a successful team is trotted out. I guess people are frustrated because apart from the second half against Plymouth it really is the first league game this season where we have been second best, and has perhaps shattered people's illusions that once we get into winning ways we'll be unstoppable.

Also, while I think it's a good thing that Asamoah is now on three for the season and Miller has two-in-two, and also a good thing that Jabo got his first assist of the season, I think people are a bit scared that our goal machine didn't score in a game... that a team worked out how to stop him scoring, even though by doing that more space was probably left for Asamoah.

If there are positive aspects to our performance even if we lost, I would be happy to have gone to a match. Considering how hard it has been for us to create chances in our other matches, I'd definitely say that there were positives.
We also must be doing well in the 'hit woodwork' table!
