No idea, I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash. It's not him in those photos/videos though.

Even if it was, I'm fairly sure Donnelly could have sued Gillingham on the grounds of sexual discrimination.

Well yes, quite. Power of social media means this is currently everywhere as a fact though which is a disappointment.

Ours has been delayed until next week due to Appleton not having had a chance to have discussions with a few players affected.

A few conspiracy theorists would suggest it is down to the rumoured takeover by Juan Sartori (a self made rich Uruguayan who is the son in law of the owner of AS Monaco).

Must be a few teams after Carey on a free?

What is interesting reading this thread is that our squad, which was reasonably large in player numbers in League 2, seems on the small side, numbers wise.

There is. Most of us thinks he will be off to a Championship club for a lot more money than we can offer, but the offer is there, and I imagine it's the best we can offer
Agreed. I think we all expect him to go, but would be very ticked off if he is playing against us next season.

Players released: Lee Camp, Stephen Kelly, Kelvin Wilson, Joel Ekstrand, Tom Thorpe, Chris Dawson, Fabian Bailey, Tom Rose

Loan players returning to parent clubs: Carlton Morris, Scott Allan

Loan player offered a contract: Tom Adeyemi

Out of contract offered new deals: Richard Smallwood, Richard Wood, Joe Mattock

Exercise option for another year contract : Jonson Clarke-Harris, Danny Ward

We will be only taking the option for another year on Danny Ward so we can get a transfer fee for him so he will be sold before the season starts i should imagine. Few players have been transfer listed but they have been un named atm.

Been linked with Matt Done, Nathan Thompson and Chey Dunkley atm but the manager said he wants 3 strikers a goal scoring midfielder and 2 central defenders altogether.

Surprised at that I'm sure I heard his name being branded about a few years ago. I wonder what happened.

Never hardly featured for us even under 4 different managers for some reason, probably never impresses in training but he did come here highly rated by Ryan Giggs so they must be something there but Bradford and Bolton fans will have a better idea about him.

Here's Dale's:

Out of Contract and offered terms
Conrad Logan (Goalie) - already gone, to Mansfield
Joe Rafferty (Right Back) - Pretty useful performer, who defends steadily and overlaps well. Under 24 (just), so would command a fee.
Matt Lund (Midfield) - Excellent, when not injured, suspended or warming Northern Ireland's bench. Burton reportedly interested, so he may well be off.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (Winger/Forward) - Unplayable on his day, anonymous on other days. Has steadily got more consistent, though, so also could be off to pastures new - Cardiff being rumoured.
Reuben Noble-Lazarus (Vaguely left sided utility player) - Not hopeless, but not really done that much with us, except provide cover down the left or in central midfield. Also under 24, but any fee would probably be nominal.
Donal McDermott (Maverick midfield/wing/forward nuisance) - Excellent in 2015-16, lost form in 2016-17, and hardly played since Christmas.

Also released are two youngsters, goalie Johny Diba and forward David Owusu.

Any relation to Lloyd Owusu? He was a properly legendary lower league player. Wonder where he is now?

Loan Players:
Christian Walton - Keeper come in on emergency loan for the end of the season as the other 2 have been injured. Been a class act would love to have him back next year but won't happen.
I'd like to think we're in pole position to sign him back, but I think he'd have Championship offers at a minimum.
I think this guy will get into the full England squad in a few years time.

Released

Joe Anyon (GK) - Filled in well with Daniels absence but Alexander clearly doesn't seem him as first choice meaning he'll bring in a new keeper if Daniels doesn't sign a new deal.
Scott Wiseman (RB) - A solid player but nowhere near as good as our other RB, Jordan Clarke. Add that to his injury issues and it makes sense that he's gone.
Jamie Ness (CM) - Classy player but another with injury problems. I really like him but he was just injured far too much to keep.
David Mirfin (CB) - A stupid decision to let him go. If we'd have gone up, I'd have understood it but not now. He's a club legend and easily good enough for L1, we're gonna have to sign a great CB to replace him.

Offered Terms

Stephen Dawson (CM) - Our 2nd best player this season, really need to convince him to sign a new deal. Would be great if Alexander went back to playing him in the correct position too.
Neal Bishop (CM) - Absolutely pointless to offer him a new deal. We have Sam Mantom on the bench who is 50000x better than Bishop yet Bishop still gets in ahead of him and has just became a liability.
Kyle Wootton (ST) - Young striker with a bit of potential, don't know if we'll give him a chance next season though.

Negotiations ongoing

Luke Daniels (GK) - Far too good for us so I can see him rejecting this and going to a Championship club, wouldn't blame him.
Craig Davies (ST) - Where the fuck do I start with this? He's absolutely shocking and should no way be offered a new deal.

Stephen Dawson has reportedly rejected a new deal. Don't worry though, we have the option to extend that by a year in our favour. Oh wait, we somehow missed the chance to do that by a day?

This club is ridiculous sometimes.

Was our number 1 keeper until he got a bad knee injury back in November, was our player of the season they year before. Only reason we released him because we have a younger keeper who is one of the top keepers in league 1 in Richard O'Donnell who will be on a lot lower wages than Camp. I think Camp will end up at Cardiff because i know they was interested in buying him before he got injured, now they can have him for free. I will surprised if he signs for somebody in this division he's way too good.

They've reportedly offered him a two year deal on bigger wages whereas we've offered him a one year deal on the same wages. Add that to the fact he apparently lives in Manchester. I don't blame him if he goes there.

Doesn't say much about his ambition as a footballer, but obviously coming towards the end of his career he just wants as much dosh as possible. Fair enough.

He was good for us when he came in at a days notice. Would certainly have him back next season but we already have two good enough keepers for this league so highly doubt that will happen.

Of all our out of contract players we've offered the worst two players new deals and released the rest including Stephen Warnock. I'm starting to get a very bad feeling about the upcoming season. We need a new manager fast because whoever is currently making the decisions regarding the squad are making the wrong ones.
