out of date

so if i get a chinese and cant eat it all, where do i put it in the fridge whilst warm to cool it quick or freezer? currently sits in the microwave til next day and then i reheat it.

They advise putting it in cool water.

It'll probably be your luck that you will do this and it'll be the one time you get food poisoning.

I do that and had no ill effects but mine tends to be fried rice and thats maybe different from boiled for storing and reheating?

I normally have fried rice too with a hot curry sauce......hungry now you fool...lolz

I do the look and smell test also, generally fine.

Stop reheating old takeaways ( apart from Johnny ) stop reheating rice and seafood. Stop eating out of date meat.

Nowt wrong with out of date meat as long as it's only a couple of days max, smells and looks alright. As I say, I've never had problems.

I'm really thinking more of Bladey cooking 3 month old pork than a couple of days over tbh tbf

If it's frozen, it's fine.

It's really not. If you freeze something over it's date then spend time defrosting it the bacteria which have multiplied during its shelf life come out of their stupor and start multiplying again.
If people are determined to do this then my advice would be ( I'm aware that no one has asked my advice) to defrost slowly using a fridge ( to slow down the bacterial growth )and cook the fuck out of it.

You then cook it straight away though, so the pork was cooked 4/5 hours later than its use by...buy it with 10 left of that day, spend 5 defrosting it then cook it 9 hours later!?
