Sounded like a really poor performance, even though we did seem to have 3-4 good chances.

A game perhaps no side deserved to win or lose, and I'm sorta happy that we've now lossed in the league since we played Coventry in March last season.

Moving on to Southend on Tues, 3 points is a must before we play Sheff Utd at home next Saturday.

Think we did deserve to beat you based on the second half, the penalty was a disgraceful decision, couldn't see the one at the end, really good 3 points and Maguire is currently showing that he's a class above this level really, very little chance we keep him next season but one can hope.

Cracking result for us.

I thought Bradford outplayed us in the first half - I don't think I've seen any teams better than that in L1 this year, but for some terrible finishing they would have been ahead. It didn't take them long to work out that we had absolutely no pace and they promptly pushed every outfield player into our half for an extend spell of pressure.

They didn't seem to come out the tunnel for the second half, and when they finally got in to the game they had already settled for a draw. Maybe Marvin Johnson and Kane Hemmings gave them a bit more pause for thought, what with being able to run and all that. Maybe it was the introduction of Kilgallon, who might well have had a target painted on to his back given the way that we focussed absolutely all our attacks down his side.

Delighted with the win because I don't think we made Doyle do anything. He was so relaxed that he just stood and watched as Maguire curled in a beauty of a winner in stoppage time. It was galling to see such a soft penalty awarded after Wimbledon kicked the shit out of us without any sort of reprimand six days ago. Given that we now seem to have lost another couple of first team players to injury this week, it was nice to see us grabbing the late winner.

For Ox - no one is still reading this now anyway - best game I have seen from Taylor this year. Rothwell's form continues to demand his inclusion in the first team. For Bradford, Law looked good. Clarke spent the whole game throwing himself to the floor, or complaining to the ref. I loved the Gryffindor scarves you all wore.

Your no.11 (Hiwula?) was fantastic for us with those 2 misses. Does he always aim for the back of the stand (or car park)?

Penalty was a shocker* as your player must have been shot by a sniper. I don't know about the one at the end for you, but we should have had one when your defender shoved Hemmings in the back as he was shooting so evens out. Sublime free kick by Chris Maguire for the winner.

*Michael Appleton's response to a question about it on BBC Radio Oxford was "it wasn't even suspect, it was a joke" and he doesn't comment on decisions generally in after match interviews.

Having seen some of the goal highlights, there have been some shocking penalties given. In 4 separate games, the attacking player just threw themselves down when losing the ball/or it is going off and the Ref has given a penalty.

Terrible finishing has been and will be the story of our season (if it's not addressed in January) - we've got away with it so far even though it's cost us a lot of draws in previous weeks and a first loss today, if we had a finisher we'd be top by a fair way.
Hiwula as mentioned above needs 50 chances to score one, and Billy Clarke occupying a slot over the likes of Vuckic and McNulty leaves many scratching their heads.
To miss a pen and have zero shots on target says it all, to go on and then lose to a free kick at the death, it seemed to be one of those days. Watching Doyle in goal move himself behind the wall and leave over half his goal open for the lad to slot in though was really poor.

Now L2 is much stronger this season than last as WE are in the top 3 and the other teams at the top are superior to the crap that got promoted last season. You should considor yourselves lucky because if you were still down here you'd be doing shit his season!
The crap that got promoted last season are all in the top half of a league that is significantly better than League 2. Two of our players from last season are playing in the Championship having left for 3 million.

We served our time in League 2 and have now moved on, strengthened our squad and you will need to if you can manage promotion this season.

Two good teams playing football as it's supposed to be played, compared to last week's game of thug ball at the hands of Wimbledon.

I was impressed with Bradford's general play, but their finishing was poor. Thought Bradford had the better of the first half and we had the better of the second. The penalty was a fucking joke, and justice was done. I actually think the ref realised that and it may be why he never gave the one at the death, although the game should have been over about ninety seconds before that, as the four minutes injury time was well exceeded.

What can I say about Chris Maguire. The man is a genius. I'm as straight as they come, but I'm beginning to think he could probably turn me!!!!

Let's not get carried away, newly promoted sides, it's a long ol' season.

Time to install Vincelot in his rightful position, one thinks.

Losing Meredith just after halftime was a big blow as all Oxfords good moments then came down that side.If there's one player we really don't want injured it's Meredith.I just hope it isn't serious.

Agree with that. Macdonald had a lot of joy there and he isn't our usual focal point. Kilgallon looked out of sorts.

Credit where credit is due. I have been the first to rubbish Taylor but on Saturday he was, in my view, man of the match. Hope he keeps in that position - he's no front man!

Never thought I'd say this but cheers Oxford, you ending Bradford's unbeaten run now means that we are the only unbeaten team left in the country!

Spurs lost in the CL.

We lost in the League Cup?
