Will leave it for others who were at the game to say how well we played and whether we deserved it or not.

Either way am delighted with the attitude the team has shown today, at least compared to last week. Point is more than decent.

Sounds as though we dug in and battled. Assume penalty was for hand ball stopping a goal as was a red?

I predicted a defeat in oakroader 's game, I bet against Vale and they have come back with a point. I will definitely take that

They're a good side, so a point there after the retched performance we gave in our last game is a very good effort. Glad to be back at Fortress Vale Park next week though in another difficult looking game against Gillingham.

Seen the highlights, really poor defending for the goals, especially their second and our first.

Referee could of avoided sending their lad off as looks as though the ball went in anyway by about a foot so could of just gave the goal!

People moaned at us signing "another unproven kid" but Jones is looking a decent addition and need to extend the loan until end of season if possible as think it's only until New Year!

People on OVF by any chance? The lad is proving to be a top signing and yes I agree we should be looking at extending his deal now

If markpvfc is who I think he may be, I suspect he will be at the game so he will be a definite who can give us an actual true insight into the match

Dunno who you think I am, but yes I was there.
It was a good game that I thoroughly enjoyed. Peterborough had most of the chances and seemed to miss some that looked easier to score, so we couldn't have had any complaints had we lost, however we battled to the end and got our point. I thought it was odd for the last few minutes after Peterborough scored we seemed to push Remi Streete forward as a striker rather than Smith, who already has 3 goals to his name.

I think young Alex Jones could be a little Gem for us this season. He's clearly working hard to impress.

Happy Vale fan tonight.

Would be nice to get and see a Peterborough fan's view of the game here. Is there any around?

Like him a lot. Seems he only scores in doubles too!

Jones is doing well considering he's not being used as an out and out striker which is his position too! Wish he'd took that penalty he won against Dale too!

Strange game.

We were the better team and I don't think anyone could have had any complaints had we taken all three points.

Both teams guilty of defending poorly for goals, but we wasted some easy chances that could have and should have put Vale out the game long before the penalty even became an issue.

Vale are decent in midfield, but defensively they're poor. Nichols wasted 3 very good chances as did a couple of others. I don't think they set up to come here and win, but they got the point they wanted. Fair play, that's football.

Good to see Moncur making an instant impact for us. No complaints about the penalty, it was one. Just a shame we let it get to that stage!

I'd complain, because we deserved a point out of the game. Sure, you had a bit more of the game as to be expected at home. I'd expect us to take the game to you at Vale Park. But we dug in when we had to, created some chances and for me every bit deserved the equalizer at the end. Without Moncur, who was a menace from the off, I'd struggle to see where your threat comes from based on that 90 minutes.

With Forrester in the side in place of Patersen, who was useless as expected, I'd have fancied us for the 3 points all day long.

I'd be tempted to play him up front while Forrester is out and have Shalaj and Thomas playing out wide supporting him, leaving a very strong looking midfield three of Grant, Tavares or Amoros, and Foley. Patersen just isn't up to it to be starting games, the same goes for Cicilia who is very much a work in progress.

As expected, you are bound to have more chances playing at home but I'd debate your managers assertion that you controlled 85 minutes of the game. Although you had a few chances it was hardly a rout and I felt we played our part in the game - a draw was a fair result in the end.

You're right that the two goals we conceded were defensively very poor, but Moncur is a good player who has done this to us before, if you back off him he will punish you. Great signing at our level.

It's good to see us getting a scrappy result after last week and that's how we should go about away matches. We're not going to be the dominant team, but if we hang in there we've got enough quality to create something.

Wtf has happened to Posh's attendances? I thought the sub-5000 against us was because of being live on Sky.

Obviously not.

I missed the first 10 mins so idk how we started but from the following 84 mins we should have lost about 5-2. Hard to say whether it was good last ditch defending that saved us or poor finishing but we got lucky. I wouldn't say pboro controlled the game but they were the only ones having clear cut chances. We got into dangerous positions but made bad choices when it came to making a proper opening. I'm not sure our players are good enough to play the game Bruno wants, we'd string a couple of nice passes together with some good touches but then give it away time after time. Felt like Grant got dragged forward too much which left us exposed.

No idea why the ref didn't just give us the goal at the end there, wouldda been a riot if Jones had missed the pen

They didn't control the game at all. They had a bit more of the game overall, perhaps 60/40, as to be expected for the home side, even more so a decent one. Overall, for me, we were well worth the point and got our just rewards at the end. We're very much a work in progress but it's clear that Bruno is shaping us into side that's pleasing on the eye but also has some steel, excluding the Bury game which can happen to any side now and again.
