It's the F.A. You can't expect consistency.
Billed as “the world’s first smartband” and available for £79.99 a throw, the Fantom is to all intents and purposes an electronic bracelet that provides wearers with the kind of “inside information”, in-game stats, polls and quizzes they can quite literally find anywhere else on the internet without having to pay the thick end of £80 for a piece of branded tat. Aimed at the fan who wants “24/7 breaking news about City, from City, packaged in a premium aluminium housing with touch display and soft silicone straps”, this propaganda tool doesn’t so much tell everything you need to know about City, as everything they want you to know.
Its unique selling point, one which manufacturers Turnpike Fantom and Manchester City have been pushing keenly in their promotional material, is that the Fantom “lives on your skin”, enabling wearers to bypass the arduous and time-consuming process of actually having to remove their phones from their pockets when getting the latest hot takes from the Etihad Stadium.
sorry couldn't find the thread, but this is sickening. Once again the establishment protects its own

De Gea is an amazing shot stopper, last season's performance's is probably the best I've seen in that regard in my life. What does Klopp value in a keeper that De Gea lacks to the extent that the German would prefer candidates that are inferior in many of the key skills required to fulfill the role, traditionally speaking (shot stopping, reflexes, one on one saves etc)?
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, I'm curious.
Does he value distribution, passing, and sweeping etc to the extent of a manager like Guardiola?
De Gea is an amazing shot stopper, last season's performance's is probably the best I've seen in that regard in my life.
However, he lacks organizational skills which is a big problem for us given we only really have one player with decent leadership in van Dijk (and now, Alisson). He's also not as commanding as you need in a defense like ours. We definitely value sweeping highly but what we really paid £65m (or whatever) for is that Alisson's distribution is, bar possibly Ederson, the best in the world. Numbers don't lie and Alisson's are amazing in a similar sense that De Gea's xGA v GA is amazing.
De Gea for me is the best GK in the world. But we did go for a goalkeeper with good (there are alternatives with better) shot stopping stats in favor for amazing distribution. Obviously nobody with De Gea's numbers was available, but even if he was, I'm unsure we'd have gone in for him. However, Klopp has some tendency to get hung up on things that still don't make sense.
So I'd say yes, Klopp would have Alisson over De Gea. And even taking his system into account, I'd say he'd be marginally wrong.
No problem my good mate, if you haven't read up on it here's a good summary of De Gea's numbers last season:Good stuff, cheers.

The context used is rather small though, there likely won't be another keeper in decades to reach these numbers (xGA v GA is actually a very good stats for exclusively goalkeepers and strikers). De Gea had a season like Messi's 50 goal season in La Liga last season. Here's hoping the fucker drops down to being just marginally better than any other keeper in the world at stopping the ball.
The issue has a lot to do with the players.De Gea and Pogba until this summer most definitely. However with Alisson coming in he should be more than good enough for our needs, and Keita can do most things Pogba could too, as well as provide extra energy and defensive capabilities.
Both sides have quality throughout them though, under different circumstances I certainly would like to have Man Utd's side. The issue with them isn't the players as we all know.
I don't think you could play Keita and Pogba together in our system, it would be too unbalanced. You need the base of the 6 whoever that is of Hendo/Gini/Fabinho, Keita, and then someone who links up, harries and is a bundle of energy, moving us along, whilst stifling the opposition, be that Ox (when fit), Lallana, or Milner (or one of the other players you haven't put in the 6 as they all could play further forward in midfield). And given our squad, which three man midfield would you form that Pogba could not get into most matches?
Appears attendances aren't as they seem !

Mind you we probably all knew clubs weren't honest when it comes to things like this !
