Actually quite fancy us in these.

Going into them in good form and think Shrewsbury is the best opposition for us. I don't mean to be disrespectful in anyway but they faltered towards the end and I expect/hope they will be overawed by the occasion. there will be around 18-20,000 fans there on Thursday I would imagine and if we can get the place rocking we should be able to get the advantage going into the second leg.

We'll have a good following for the away leg too.

No matter what happens, Lee Bowyer has done an amazing job even getting us there. We were 5 points adrift when he took over and had to play:

Plymouth
Northampton
Rotherham
Bristol Rovers
Wimbledon
Scunthorpe
Shrewsbury
Portsmouth
Blackburn

Rochdale

Just look at that opposition ffs, especially those in bold.

Full of confidence, Fosu excpected to be fit to make at least the bench on Thursday. Nothing to fear.

Come on you Addicks!

Wouldn't be too displeased with any of these teams coming up.

In order of preference:

Shrewsbury
Charlton
Rotherham
Scunthorpe

tbf there were nearly 18K at the Valley back in Feb (thanks mainly to the £5 ticket offer) when we gubbed you 2-0 so we didn't seem too overawed by the big crowd on that occasion. Admittedly a PO semi final may ratchet things up slightly but we often do ok in big grounds - knowing us we'll win 1-0 at you place and then get spanked at home :hb:

Fair point on the attendance but we are a completely different side now which has brought a completely different atmosphere.

As I say, I didn’t want it to come across as being disrespectful but I just think we need to take advantage of a decent sized crowd and I think we can make it uncomfortable for you in such a high pressure game.

How are sales going for the first leg your end?

We have given up and on the beach now, might get 300 to bother going.

I get that it’s a Thursday night on Sky etc but surely that can’t be it?

We don't get to be bolded?

Screw you Bobbin, I hope you crash out of the play offs and get relegated next season

Only bolded the ones who were in and around the top 6 places to show how many “6 pointers” we had in the final month. In fact, even Northampton, Wimbledon and Rochdale were fighting for their lives too. Just a ridiculous set of fixtures and to think we were 5 points behind at the beginning of them, it’s just phenomenal.

Knew the game at yours would be tough, incidentally other than Scunthorpe we beat all of those in bold yet couldn’t beat you. Credit to you

Aha only joking - I remember us both commenting on our fixtures towards the end of the season, credit to you - you did exceptionally well. I guess the new manager effect came in perfect timing

He’s just being dramatic. We’ve sold around 500 tickets so far and it’s pay on the day so I’d like to think we’ll have around 1000 fans there. Unfortunately I can’t make it as I don’t finish work until 6, so it’ll be sky for me.

The last few games we’ve been resting a few key players, hence the poor results. I fancy us for a draw tomorrow evening.

1-1 (Whalley for us)

C’mon Salop!!

Looking forward to watching them this year, Shrewsbury look to have completely run out of steam and it'll be a shame if they don't go up after the season they've had. Charlton in great form and could see them going up.

Still hope it's Scunthorpe joining us and Wigan, but I wouldn't mind anyone apart from Rotherham.

All the 1601 Scunthorpe tickets went in 2 hours and 20 minutes this morning.

Lots of justified moaning from the lads who have travelled to many of the away games this season and couldn't get one.

Yes I got mine but I do have a lot of sympathy for the regulars who have missed out.

Not too sure what the Club can do when you have 5800 season ticket holders for 1601 tickets but we all like a good winge around here.

I suppose playing Charlton would have been the only way to satisfy the demand and I expect Scunthorpe fans will be gutted to only get 1200 ish for the second leg.

Shame the darts is on, so won't see a lot of the game, but fancy Charlton to take a 2 goal lead into the last leg which I think will be enough. Fridays game I fancy a score draw.

Scunny still have over 200 remaining and they've been on sale a few days now so they can't really complain now about the allocation.

Of the play-off teams, Shrews took 4 points from us, Rotherham 3, Scunny 1 and Charlton 0. So based on that very scientific information It'll be a Shrews v Millers final and an overall victory for the Shrews.

You're welcome.

Weirdly symmetrical set of results for us against the four:
Charlton 3
Rovrum 3
Salop 3
Scunny 2

As for who'll win them - heart says Shrews, head says Rovrum, who have previous...

Paul Hurst performance in a nutshell. Doesn’t usually turn up in the playoffs though. Fair play. Nice to see our contingent doing well.

These are the football league play offs Gassy, not the conference ones (or as your fans called it, division 5). ;)
well played Shrewsbury by the way, cracking goal too! A deserved lead going into the 2nd leg.
