Redfearn had similar ideas to yourself, where's he? Sacked and had us bottom of the form table in half a season.

Warnocks had us in play off form for a third of the season.

I know which formula works best.

No he didnt, he signed over the hill and injury prone players, Kelly, Best, Burke and Becciho spring to mind. He spouted too much bs about similar plans to myself and never tried going through with it, his signings was total opposite to what he was saying he was gonna do.

Are you forgetting about Brandon Barker, Shay Facey, Chris Dawson, Simon Lenhigan and Alex Cairns?

Kelly and Best have been excellent btw.

assuming http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ is legit

Michael Turner – forgot he was still a Norwich player. Walkley_Owl how's he been? good at his level? do your lot want him permanently?
Steven Whittaker – let him go and don't look back.
Alexander Tettey – give him a new contract. injured a lot but love the guy.
Gary O'Neil – I'd give him another year. good to have around even if not playing.

expiring loans: Andre Wisdom, Dieumerci Mbokani , Patrick Bamford – not bothered about any of them

beyond that haven't a clue. hard to say who will stay, who will go or if there will be any interest from other clubs. I'd say Klose, Howson and Brady could do a job for any bottom-half Prem club interested. think Wes' age works in our favour. Redmond might get interest, got potential but very hit and miss.

We've got out of contract, my views are obviously dependent upon which division we'll be in but I'll assume we'll be in the championship

Lewis price - I'd probably give him a year, he's 3rd choice keeper but I don't expect he'll be on much and he's a very able keeper for the level

Joe wildsmith - I thought he'd signed a new deal? Anyway he's our back up keeper and has a brilliant future ahead of him, hope we give him a long term deal.

Cameron Dawsons - Young keeper. Know nothing about him really

Filipe memo - absolute mystery this guy, looked good when he played at the back end of last season but I think he's fell into the Bermuda Triangle or something he's not been seen all season

Jose semedo - been a brilliant servant over the years but we've surpassed him as a club and he'll be allowed to leave

Sam Hutchinson - was outstanding in the first half of the season, struggled with injury of late but a fantastic player, I'd give him a new deal

Caolan lavery - will be allowed to leave and will carve out a good career in league one

Loans

Michael turner - shite
Vincent sasso - been back up centre half most of the season but has done a good job when called upon, can't see us bringing him back from braga
Joe Bennett - not seen enough to form an opinion but I'd expect villa will need him next season
Daniel pudil - really good addition would look to sign him provided the fee was reasonable
Alex Lopez - has come in since hutchisons injury and been superb, would be looking to sign him again dependent upon the few
Aiden McGeady - there's obvious talent there but were yet to see it applied, I don't think he's worth the wages we'll be paying for him

Of the 3 loan players we have left..

Paterson - must sign, in talks with Forest but they're going through takeover talks and won't consider anything till that's sorted. Class act.

Huws - will return to Wigan, not sure if they'll accept him back or try flog him after refusing to play in League One. We can't afford him permanently, but definitely a solid player for anyone in this league.

Steer - will be Villas number 1 next season and many more after that, for someone as young as him he's a class keeper.

OOC ;-

Hogg - will get a 12 month extension

Cranie - expect him to get a 2 year deal, solid player.

Matmour - expect a 12 month extension, come into it more towards end of season. Have a full pre season behind him and I believe he'll be a strong player next season.

Holmes - been on trial at Barnsley and Pompey, both offered him deals. Too lightweight and a billy big bollocks for someone so small and regressed since breaking through.

Ishmael Miller - will probably try release a brand of clothing as nobody should ever want him to grace the pitch. That or will go to MLS..

Allinson - 22 and never played a minute for the first team, see you.

Wouldn't be surprised if we went in for Liam Feeney again but I presume he will be Ipswich bound.

I reckon so. He's done well on loan and I'm pretty sure McCarthy likes him so unless he'd rather hold out for somewhere else I assume he'll sign permanently in the summer.

I'm sure we will go in for Rob Hall if he doesn't find a Championship club, and given that his injury will keep him out of action into next season he might have no other option.

Happy with all of that to be honest. Unfortunately the 3 young lads have never shown anything to suggest they could cut it at this level and have struggled on loan at much lower levels. Think Jack Ryan might go back to Stockport after his decent loan spell earlier this season.

Glad we've fucked Kirkland off too. Kilkenny, Little and Reid were nailed on, no surprises at all really. Little will probably go back to Scotland, the place that makes shit players look world-beaters (Martyn Waghorn) and Reid will go to Bradford. Kilkenny would be a good signing for anyone in League One.

Really hope Josh signs that contract, don't think he will unfortunately. If he goes to Rangers and we get pennies for him I'll be pissed off.

We fucked up Scott Wootton's extension so it never went through and he's now leaving the club.

Finally being run by incompetent fucks has its benefits!

Only Karleigh Osborne leaving this summer at the moment, Wagstaff is out of contract however he's being given a week to 10 days to think what he wants to do with his career.

RELEASED/OUT OF CONTRACT

Robbie Weir
Shane Cansdell-Sherriff
Timmy Thiele
Dean Lyness
Mark Shelton (youth)
Sam Austin (youth)

OUT OF CONTRACT BUT OFFERED NEW DEALS

Lucas Akins
Damien McCrory
Matt Palmer
Tom Flanagan
Marcus Harness
Stephen Bywater
Sam Hornby (youth gk)

UNDER CONTRACT

John Mousinho
John McLaughlin
Tom Naylor
Calum Butcher
Callum Reilly
Anthony O'Connor
Stuart Beavon

Mark Duffy, Mason Bennett, Hamza Choudhury and Tyler Walker have all gone back to their parent clubs.

Cansdell-Sherriff stated ages ago that he was going to go back to Australia when his contract was up but when we got promoted he hinted he was open to staying. Seems like Clough will look elsewhere.

Weir and Lyness will be excellent additions to any league one club. Thiele was a Hasselbaink signing from the German lower leagues (same agent apparently *cough*) but didn't really do much so he'll most likely end up back in the German/Dutch/Belgian lower leagues where another one of Jimmy's strange signings (Aurelien Joachim) ended up. The other two young lads may end up at a Conference club.

I'd expect Akins, Flanagan, Harness and Bywater to sign up again. Hornby will probably sign up and go out on loan. Palmer I'm not entirely sure about because he turned a lot of heads when he was on loan at Oldham and might feel that he can do a bit better than us. I'd love him to stay but who knows. If QPR are genuinely after McCrory then I can't see him turning Jimmy down. He'd be a fool not to go.

The club put out a statement on Mark Duffy saying he's leaving the club and the local paper seem to think he won't be coming back so again, we'll see. I think we need to be looking at a lot better than Tyler Walker and Mason Bennett (got a bad injury and wheels have seriously come off with him) in this league but as I've said in another thread we're not in a position where we can pick and choose.

The lad Hamza Choudhury we had on loan from Leicester. He's the one we need back. He's only 18 but what a player. He gave our midfield a massive boost in the run in and looked way too good for league one. He's said he wants to come back on loan again next season and it sounds like Leicester are open to it. Hopefully we get him on a season long loan.

Lots of work to be done on our squad. Looking forward to seeing what happens.

We did our official list last week sometime,

Officially released:

Bjorn Sigurdarson
Tommy Rowe
Razak Boukari
Laim McAlinden
Zele Ismail

Loan deals ended and not returning

Emiliano Martinez
Adam Le Fondre

Would advise all Championship clubs to stay away from our released players, but under a decent manager who gives them game time (not Jackett potato), Martinez and ALF can do a job at this level.

Waghorn ain't no world-beater, but he's hardly shit. Can still do a job at this level.

If Zeli Ismail didn't have glass knees he'd be on a par with Nathan Redmond by now. Top level championship/bottom half premier league talent but my God his injury record...

He'll always be infamous around these parts for being plastered in the back of the News of the World newspaper about 6 years ago billed as the first "100m player". After that, everyone expected this guy to be a worldbeater, and as you say his injuries, the overhype, and plainly just not being that good all took a toll on him. Shame the link doesn't exist, with NOTW not being around anymore.

Remember him playing a few games for us in league 1 and he was really greedy, never passed the ball and it pissed a lot of people off. Hell he made Leigh Griffiths look selfless, and he wanted to do everything on his own. Wish him all the best, but I think L1/L2 will be his level.

I remember the article because when we signed him on loan it got a lot of coverage our end. Obviously we unanimously thought "bollocks" and didn't expect much. He made his debut as a sub when we were a goal down at home against Cheltenham. Fifteen minutes after coming on he'd set two goals up and Cheltenham ended up putting three players on him but he was just taking the piss. The whole ground was screaming for him to get the ball. Best debut I've ever seen in a Brewers shirt. I think he single handedly won 3 or 4 games for us but (surprise surprise) got injured. I maintain to this day that if he'd stayed fit we'd have gone up under Rowett.

If he manages to stay fit then he'll end up in the championship but yes, it looks for all the world like he'll be a L1/2 mainstay.

Releasing 11 should free up some wages to get 5 or 6 quality players in so im fairly happy, im just glad Collins and Green never got another contract because there both awfully past it. If i had to pick 5 players to stay on it would have been those 5 but i still believe we should have released the lot and start again fresh with a more youthful squad for the future.

I would agree normally but none of the older players aren't quality, the likes of Wood, Broadfoot and Derbyshire are lower end championship players at best.

You say that but they were part of an eleven, who was in play off form for 16 games.
