Ade Akinbiyi :2thumb:. I believe he is still a player-coach in the Wales for Bangor or someone.

Quite a few in recent years - when we were more successful and it all broke up, the majority of them continued to play in the top two tiers.

Some notable ones that have done well/are doing well would be Luke Garbutt, Michail Antonio, Danny Batth, Dean Hammond, George Elokobi, Lomana Tresor Lua Lua.

Nick Powell?! Ok, he hasn't lived up to his potential, but he did score in the Premier League for Man U and double figures in the Championship for Wigan?

Every night I lie awake thinking how did Danny Rose forge a career at Spurs whilst they let Caulker go.

Jimmy Bullard, Matthew Etherington and Simon Davies from back in the day.

Dwight Gayle, Russell Martin, George Boyd, Luke Steele, Ryan Bennett, Lee Tomlin and Britt Assombalonga have all done pretty well since leaving.

Craig Mackail Smith, Aaron McLean and Paul Taylor all left for big money and should have done better.

In terms of loans, Saido Berahino was decent when he was here. Jake Livermore was here too. Danny Rose was utter dogshite.

He's one of our "ones who got away". We had him on trial, could have signed him but Gudjon Thordarson was manager so rest is history.

Awaiting the creation of a fall from grace thread for young Nicholas.

Gutted for him but in hindsight, and probably confirming what a lot thought at the time, Man Utd probably wasn't the best move for him. Ferguson retiring hasn't helped but he'd have probably benefitted from a lesser move with more of chance of playing.

It is interesting though just how many of our players (particularly academy players) go on to have a career being a crock. Powell seemingly becoming one of those.

The only contracted player who has gone on to play in a top flight that I can think of is Marek Stech at Sparta Prague. Chris Cohen and Lee Peltier and Lee Johnson have come close to playing in the premiership.
As for loans Asmir Begovic, Steven Caulker, Andros Townsend, Ryan Mason and Liam Bridcutt.

It all went wrong when he signed for us more like.

Stand-outs for us would be Englands defence. Kyle Walker, Phil Jagielka and Gary Cahill.

Andros Townsend, Stephen Gleeson, Shaun Williams, Sam Baldock, Gary Mackenzie, Patrick Bamford, Benik Afobe, Lloyd Dyer, Stephen Quinn, Sheyi Ojo, Danny Collinge, Dele Alli, Brendan Galloway, Aaron Wilbraham, Jason Puncheon

All those have played for us and gone on to play in the top 2 divisions, albeit a few of them haven't stayed there but that's beside the point, these are only the ones off the top of my head aswell

Don't forget Jake Livermore mate.

Yannick Bolasie had another belter of a game today - how long before someone offers big money for him, and we get the money for this supposed sell on clause?!

Danny Rose is up there with Njazi Kuqi for the worst loanee I've ever seen for us. Absolutely appalling.
