Reading back through this thread, I see some are coveting James Justin and Jack Stacey. For me, it would take at least £6m to sell the pair. Would Brentford, Bristol City and such like be as attractive a prospect being in the same division now. There was a stat a few weeks ago that Stacey was literally off the charts in comparison to other U25 L1 full backs.

For us, I've honestly no idea who we'd target. Top players in League One for teams who won't be at this level won't come cheap either.

I saw something in the last few days that we're going to sign Josh Willis, the Coventry captain and also saw something about us talking to Aiden McGeady. We were also definitely talking to Graeme Shinnie, Aberdeen captain; his brother plays for us currently. I'd also like us to try and take Eunan O'Kane back if he gets back to fitness.

Yes, if we wanted Stacey or Justin we could afford him and attract him as long as there weren’t a club like Stoke interested which I feel they will be.

Would take Gestede or Fletcher from Boro, but the former turned us down last minute in January. Would also take Matt Smith from QPR but don’t know what the situation will be there with him over the summer.

People have mentioned Gavin Whyte from Oxford. Can’t say I know much about him. I imagine we’ll take a look at Charlton’s Lyle Taylor if they don’t come up. Big bloke, started his career here and old enough that we can probably get him for under a million. Seems to tick all of our boxes.

You're not actually up "officially" til June, go play in the kids area til then youth.

McGeady is on a big wage playing in front of 30k each week, would take a hell of a deal to swap for Luton IMHO, until you move to Power Court where you can compete on and off the field.

If/when Westwood goes I wouldn't mind bringing in Martinez again from Arsenal, done well in every loan spell and is a good age to develop still.

I don't know whether there's anything in it. I'd like to think that at his age, if he could still play in the Championship he would jump at it, if Blunderland cock up the play offs. He would need to at least half his wage demands, if not cut it by two thirds, which I don't think would work for him at all.

We had him 3 years back and unless he's bothered (PNE) he's a waste of a wage, he's done OK in league one don't get me wrong but it's a huge risk, ask Wigan with McManaman.

Thinking about more reasonable suggestions than 30k a week type players as we wont be swimming in that pool next season! Saw Stevenage a couple of times this season and the QPR loanee they had, Ilias Chair was taking the piss at that level to be honest. Clearly a cut above. As was pointed out, McGeady is a bit of an outlandish one from Kenny, but Chair might not be. Id love him to play in the 10 role we have got, think he would do well as he has a cracking shot on him.
