Hate to say it, but Lincoln are actually likeable these days.

Well after really good positioning by McGrandles that was a shocker of a finish.

Well done Lincoln - battled back well in the 2nd half.

But both teams had their chances.

Great resilience from Lincoln, nowhere in the first half but were the better side in the second and had plenty of chances to actually win the game on the day despite losing it. McGrandles and Walsh made a big difference so credit Appleton for that.

Fancy Blackpool in the final just from the little I’ve seen but one off game you never know. Some exciting young players in both sides, should be a good game.

So Lincoln vs Blackpool in the play-off final then. Would be great to see Lincoln make it to the Championship so recently after their spell in non-league (just like Luton have already done), but with how Blackpool played against Oxford it's hard to see past them at Wembley.

Going to make for a very interesting final, that's for sure.

Sake.

Going to be grim trying to get out of this league next season.

Well done Blackpool and Lincoln. Very hard to argue with that final.

This league will be a right bunfight next season. Wednesday, Rotherham, Ipswich, Sunderland, Charlton and Wigan will all be strong.

Blackpool the best team I saw this season but Lincoln have been very impressive. Should be a great final whoever wins.

Blackpool's to lose for me. Lincoln have the capability but Blackpool are properly in form and have Ellis Simms who is better than L1 standard leading their line.

I was pretty sure Appleton was going to start with Walsh and McGrandles so it was no surprise that a) they came on at HT and b) that we improved after their introduction. Going away to Sunderland with Grant in CM and what was effectively a front four was a bit risky.

We rarely fail to score so I was quite comfortable knowing Sunderland would have to score at least 3 in the game.

What a season though, bloody hell. The best two sides are in the Final and Blackpool concern me a bit. They're bang in form but we've had two close games against them this season and we were able to get at them defensively.

It'll be a bit of quality from a loan signing that'll win it IMO - a Simms, Johnson, Rogers.

Very poor penalty from Grant (as an aside 12 penalties this season?! That’s mad) really nice height for Burge. Could swing the pendulum back to Sunderland, fans had given it up as a bad lot I think when the pen was awarded!
Is it only 12? Feels more than that.

I think we had 17 or so in our L2 title winning season.

In all seriousness well done to Blackpool and Lincoln, fully deserved. Commiserations to Sunderland and Oxford.

Delighted we're there, tension was unreal
Just announced we're getting 3879 tickets for the final so the majority of our season ticket holders will get a ticket
Just a shame no one else will get a chance to go.
Tickets priced between 35 and 55 quid

Although Blackpool are the clear favourites there’s zero pressure on Lincoln might just work in their favour

Certainly more pressure on Blackpool being big favourites. If we win, great, if not, it’s been a great season, far and beyond what most of us ever expected.

60+ years since we would have been in the second tier.

3,879 tickets for us, so presumably the same for Blackpool.

Great to see fans back of course, but that seems very low considering how big Wembley is. (But still more than Wigan managed to bring for the playoff final against us back in the day).

We did it when we beat Leeds, same time frame so you never know

Covid rules sadly, maximum of 10,000 in the ground, apparently the seats have to be disinfected between games too, won't be going gutted.

Any Imps on here going for the ballot? Didn't attend the Sunderland game but will be applying for the ballot this time.

I'm unsure. I didn't ballot for the home game because of the 6pm KO so I'd have to opt myself in but there doesn't seem to be a guarantee that you'll be sat next to anyone in your group, it sounds a random seat selection, and it's going to be a bit weird.

There were 31,000 of us a couple of years ago so it'll be a very different experience!

I'll see what the rest of the group are doing.

Yepp I'll be applying. Fingers crossed!

Have I read it correct that the 3879 is for the fans/ season ticket holders and the allocation to players families etc have already been taken out?

4300 season ticket holder left who didn't request some form of money back. Hopefully enough for all those that want them - I reckon there will be a few with prior commitments over the bank holiday weekend.

Doesn’t seem right given the FA Cup final had almost double that amount.

Official Trial Event.
Of the trial events which had over 60,000 spectators only 15 tests came back positive after though.

Im all for being careful unlocking, and taking things slowly etc, but it’s a 90k capacity stadium for heavens sake.
