Yeah, that's a great buy. I think I'm still gonna hold off of getting a PS4 myself, but at least I have another couple of reasons to really want one now besides Uncharted, with FF7 remake, TLG and Shenmue 3 coming at some point. I did have No Mans Sky down as another big reason to get a PS4, but that's been confirmed as a PC game as well today.

Too much invested into PS now. Plus I don't think it's actually possible due to the PS3's hardware. Dat cell.

It is a great year for gaming, but don't go thinking that we'll see Kingdom Hearts 3 at any point this year... or next year, I reckon. But then again, Kingdom Hearts 3 has always felt like a million years away, so maybe that's why I can't imagine it coming out next year.

Infamous: Second Son was like the one game that came out early that I was interested in. I quite liked the first two, is this one also a really good game? Like, I don't want it just to make up the numbers, I want it because it's actually a game worth playing. I already have too many games to be playing right now, so I only want the essential, can not miss stuff.

Same goes for Killzone. I loved Killzone 2 but somehow never got around to playing number 3 even though I really wanted to. Is the PS4 Killzone any good?

Don't go talking to me about that fucking Knack piece of shit, I played that in game and it's shit. Also, that Order:1886 sounds gash too from everything I hear about it. I may rent that at some point down the line, but I ain't paying for it. And I can't be arsed for any more LittleBigPlanet either, the first one was great fun, the second was the same, and the third looks like another clone. Screw that.

The one game I definitely intend on getting, of course, is The Last of Us. Been meaning to replay it since the second I'd finished it, but as soon as I saw that a remastered PS4 edition was coming out, I wanted to wait for that version instead. Plus, I told myself, it'd be dirt cheap by the time I got a PS4. WRONG. It's like £25 everywhere. What the fuck?

Second Son is excellent and you need to give it a go. They went in a more serious direction with this entry, so don't be surprised to see all the comic style cutscenes and that to be gone. The powers are incredibly fun and the city of Seattle is beautiful.

Killzone is...shit. It's very pretty but it's an absolute chore in places and just not fun at all. The opening hour or so is great with the lush looking environments, but then the mundane and generic environments kick in. The game is quite basic in the gameplay too, you won't ever seen anything too creative in the gunplay and it's mostly the old 'throw endless waves of enemies at you' in certain sections. PRETTY DOE.

Bloodborne is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful setting, beautiful graphics, IT'S JUST BOOTIFUL. I find the enemy design and the locations to be far more interesting than those of the Dark Souls series. It's basically a demonic old London type setting. Great boss battles, familiar combat mechanics, a difficulty that is challenging but always fair.

The Order is actually pretty good Oaf, I certainly enjoyed it. It's only six hours long sure, but the game's story was interesting for me and like Bloodborne the setting was fantastic.

Also have a look at Resogun. Fun downloadable title. I have plenty more recommendations if you're interested.

Resogun is fucking superb as arcade games go. The Order is well worth picking up once it's cheap, it's an odd game and obviously short but if you can grab it for £20, finish it in a few days then sell it on for £10-15 it's worth it. Second Son as Cas said (yes it's worth playing, it's kind of your standard 7.5/10 game, it won't make any top 10 lists but you won't finish it and think 'well that's x hours of my life I want back'...it is a game I enjoyed a lot), Bloodborne isn't my thing but if you like Dark Souls then...

Apart from that, not a lot really, games like Knack and Driveclub were disasters and you've obviously already played The Last Of Us.

So yeah, you've not missed a lot really but this year is packed with multi-platform games and then next year you get Uncharted, Horizon and The Last Guardian so who gives a fuck.

The PS plus games are always worth a download too

Since I went premium at Christmas I have downloaded and played 75% of them (some just didn't interest me)

This months included metal gear solid ground zero which was pretty cool

A game I was also weirdly enthralled with was dreamworld dig. Hasn't been free yet but I got it on sale for about 3 quid. Not a lkoing game but one of those power up to go further type games

Ground Zero is excellent, if you can look past the short campaign. Get's me so hyped for MGS5 because the gameplay is just that good.

Also I could be wrong but Street Fighter 5 will be PS4 and PC only I believe, if that interests anyone.

Suikoden 3 being added to psn tomorrow as a ps2 classic for ps3.

First time it will be playable in Europe.

Quite like the controller. I mean, I've used one before in stores and what not, but it's a bit different having it in the comfort of your own home. It's much better than the PS3's, but still feels like a bit of a toy compared to the Xbox Ones. Still, a huge improvement.

Console is slick as fuck though. DAT light.

There's no real rush for it really though. I may wait until I really want it and hopefully see it drop to as low a price as possible. The temptation when you get a new console is always to go and buy everything you can for it (hell, I picked up that shower of shit ZombiU for the Wii U), but I think Batman will do fine for now.
