I'm disappointed no decision has been made on whether this game will go ahead already. I mean, you don't need a crystal ball to know that whilst the pitch may well hold up under the weather tomorrow, it's going to be very dangerous for the 12,000 people coming to the stadium tomorrow, especially the young and the elderly. Only takes one accident in or around the stadium and the clubs will be in huge trouble for not postponing.

Kinda feels like the outcome is a forgone conclusion. Why leave it until tomorrow to find out what we probably know today, especially with our squad already travelling and staying overnight. If I was Artell, I wouldn't be setting off unless there was assurances from the safety groups in Plymouth that the game would go ahead. Wonder when they do call and how early in the morning? Hopefully very early, before most supporters set off.

Well the team will have left now a long with a coach full of supporters. I'd be shocked if it was on. I was thinking of going but this weather has put me off that's for sure. Booked on for Morecambe away instead.

Nobody really knows what the conditions will be like tomorrow, there is no way they should call this game off over 24hrs before kick off surely. What happens if the club pulls the plug now and its absolutely fine tomorrow? The right decision is to make a judgement tomorrow morning say 11am and go from there.

It’s a lovely dry, still spring day in Plymouth today, no way you could make a call right now to call off a game tomorrow without knowing for sure what it’s going to be doing

Tbf, it’d be daft to call it off because in this weather the game could be absurdly BRILLIANT.

Just went out for a walk in the park. Damp and a bit breezy, the trees are moving a bit occasionally, but at the moment it would be on. Obviously the weather can worsen significantly in six hours, but it was a quiet night wind wise and is fine at the moment. Would I cycle to work in this, and the answer is clearly yes.

Interesting that Wrexham v Torquay was called off, and the reasons given were safety grounds plus thoughts taken to the Torquay players, staff and fans making the long journey. Few other lower leagues also called for the same reason.

Hey, if they manage to get this on, fair enough. I'd still be surprised given what the likely conditions are expected to be like in and around the stadium in the next 6-7 hours.

Game on apparently. Fair play. Don't fancy our chances, we're shite whenever it's rainy, windy or both.

Need whoever starts to step up. Back 4 need to cut out the mistakes, Jones needs to prove he's the Jones of old, not just playing well against a couple of bottom half teams. Front 3 need to be giving their weakened defence fits all game, get Kirk and Walker running at them. Hope Lowery and/or Green can play some part, Finney has improved, but I don't think he's quite a regular just yet. Also hope Powell and Anene make it, but not sure I want to risk them on a sodden surface. Risks them being out even longer and we don't need that at all.

Saying I'd snap your hand off for a point right now is an understatement. It would be a fantastic result.

It won’t be a sodden surface. Wet yes from the rain, but the water won’t hang around on the surface. I fully expect the sprinklers to be on before the game.

The trick will be to keep the ball on the ground, easier said than done.

1pm pitch inspection as the weather has worsened as predicted.

I can see cases for both arguments. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

In my day it used to be drop the ball in several parts of the pitch and see if it bounces. Hope it has moved on in subtlety from that.

Ultimately if has to be the refs decision in terms of the pitch (I.e. the rain), and the police/safety officers in terms of the wind (crowd/players safety).

Not a bad team put out. Shame Anene hasn't quite made it, Powell being back on the bench is a boost. Need a big performance out of Green, hope the pace of the game doesn't pass him by. Need them all to step up, no excuse about the conditions. Just get something, a scrappy point would be excellent.

Edit, never mind, Anene has made it, this time infront of Lowery. Shame Lowery is really struggling with this injury of his. But boy do we have some options on the bench.

Frustrating in the final third yet again, same story for pretty much the last month and a half now. Had a few promising attacks, but wrong choice(Walker blazing over twice) or passes being overhit/underhit/a yard behind or ahead of the intended player.

Still, after a shaky first 15 minutes when we were starting to get dominated, it's been very even and the unpredictability of the wind is clearly affecting things. I'd be very happy if it stayed this way through to half time.

Feel for the defence and midfield, they didn't deserve to lose that game, they really didn't. Put in a valiant effort, but were let down by the keeper and front 3. Thought we started the 2nd half brightly and got what you could argue was a deserved opener.

But then Jaaskelainen comes and then doesn't, leaving Jephcott the easiest of headers. He's been woeful at coming for crosses all season, so I'm not giving him a pass because of the wind. After that, we have a few attacks and yet again, we waste them. Kirk blazes over on his left when he should be cutting inside and going on his favoured right. He's been our best and most consistent attacker, but his finishing is so sporadic.

Then, holy fuck Porter, you did fuck all afternoon and then you go and miss a blooper level chance. Same for Walker, he's got talent, but we can't afford to coach him through his growing pains. Blew 2 or 3 good openings with wild slashes. Is that the kind of stuff that got you into the England youth teams? Artell needs to get a grip of him and tell him to wise up a bit. I'd take a half fit Powell over him right now, waste of space(that should be assist aside).

Then, just when I wanted to totally blame the front 3 and keeper for losing this game, the ref goes and gives a ridiculous penalty. Not a single Argyle player appeals for that, crowd goes mental and he caves. Despite not giving a blatant one on Walker in the first half. Fuck off Tom Nield, you spineless coward.

Angry and pissed off at losing because of the same issues that have been there all season, namely the ability to take chances. Need 6 points from the next 2 now, no excuses. After that, there is only promotion chasers or inform teams to play(Stevenage aside). Get back on the training ground, sort the issues out and get a win next weekend.

Great result for us. The average position of the opposition in our next 7 games is something like 17th. So we really need to press on.

Porters miss utter madness.

Better team lost in my opinion, thought we edged the first half and had a blatant pen turned down by the ref. 2nd half we score a great goal through Pickering and I thought we were controlling the game. Then argyle score on the break, where out keeper doesn't come for a cross 3 yards away from his line. Then Porter has miss of the century. Then the ref gives Argyle a very soft looking pen. Just wasn't our day today unfortunately. We play two of the bottom two next though so a big opportunity to get points before another massive trip to Devon.

A draw would probably have been a fair result, but thanks for the six points. I think both sides did brilliantly considering the wind, and played some good football. I also think that Crewe were the second best side to visit Home Park this year (after Swindon). It was an exciting game.

You should have had a penalty in the first half. The Lino should have given it, but he was I am afraid useless to both sides. But to compensate your guy who got cautioned for his deliberate ‘clog’ of Sarvcevic should have been sent off. We have had two players rightly sent off this year, and neither was no where near as nasty, and in neither case was the oppo player on his way towards the penalty area.

Porter’s miss was simply the worst you will ever see. He should be made to make his own way home. Three players against our goalie and he misses. Unbelievable Geoff!!!

Obviously the weather was a major factor but 11,500 crowd feels a little bit disappointing.

Speedo Mick is as mad as a hatter!!!

Would want to see again, but live I thought it was a penalty. It looks like your defender simply took Mayor’s leg out from behind. But as I said elsewhere yours in the first half was also a penalty, but you need to thank the Lino for that one - it, like quite a few things both ways - was right in front of him.

I found your players lack of appeals strange. I felt the crowd at that end swayed him. He was very poor today, made some baffling calls.

Don't think many of yours appealed in the first half.
