The lad above who said the first wasn’t a yellow, it looks a dreadful challenge, my mates said that the 2nd yellow was the lads 4th or 5th foul although hard to know if that’s true as can’t see that on highlights, if I was still playing/managing Sats I’d expect a card for that though, despite minimal contact and Cav going down softly, it’s a cynical challenge to stop a break away.

Loved Preston’s goal though, seeing powerful headed goals always makes me want to swear for reasons I don’t fully understand.

He didn't touch him. Unfortunately for us Wolves did a good of reffing the game and it paid off for them.

It wasn't his 4th or 5th foul, it was a well timed dive and good bit of conning of a very poor ref. It paid off though and you got back into the game.

Look at the stats, we commited 8 fouls and received 4 yellow cards, you commited 11 and didn't receive one. Maybe we need to be a bit let honest when being fouled, scream louder, roll further etc as it clearly works.

It looks like he clips his trailing leg, the fact that the lad doesnt seem to initially dispute it too makes it look like he's glanced him.

Welsh is a sensible lad, he knows it's futile to start remonstrating with the refs decision as he's never going to change it.

If he did touch him, you can see that he's trying his best to avoid contact. If anything, it's a clumsy mis-timed attempt at a challenge, with no danger of damage being done to your lad and with zero malicious intent.....in our half of the pitch. There's no way that should be a yellow card.

Also looking at the stats you're also the least disciplined team in the League with over 70 yellow cards and 4 reds already. Maybe you should look closer to home.

So, it was a cynical attempt to stop a counter attack.

Like I said, if I was managing amateur football still, I'd be happy with taking a booking there, more unhappy at Welsh for making that whilst already booked, especially given it not looking overly threatening, and it looked like you at least had man on man cover. You think we are soft (which I admit) however you guys don't seem to realise you are fairly robust, not malicious, but tactically it isn't our responsibility to rise to that.

Don't agree at all with that.

I like you, so I'm not prepared to get into a full-blown argument over it.

We've both offered our opinions so I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one bunny rabbit.

I thought it was a booking at the time and still do. Welsh knew what he was doing and it was a stupid challenge to make, we had plenty of cover back. Anyway, we move on.

Our discipline does need to improve, it's ridiculous how many petty bookings we get for backchat and silly avoidable things like that.

John Welsh has cost us 2pts there, fucking unforgivable picking up a 2nd yellow card in that situation. Although Wolves opened us up at times, they looked toothless and with 11 v 11 I'm confident we see out the game. We were looking good for adding a second before that red and Wolves looked on the ropes.

Barkhuizen was superb and I hope DJ isn't badly injured because he was impressive.

I don't think Cavaliero is given enough credit for the assist to Costa. An outstanding bit of skill that saw him take the ball past 3 PNE players, Costa's finish was excellent too. He has improved so much compared to last season, top of the assist charts now with 10.

Looks like I owe Welsh an apology, that's a dive all day long

Welsh was lucky to stay on in the first half, and only picked up 1 yellow when it could have easily been 2 on another day. I can see why the referee sent him off for that.

I don't remember him committing 2 bookable offences in the first half, DJ was lucky with one though. There was no contact here though so it was a wrongful dismissal.

Cavaleiro could have quite easily picked up 2 yellows for dives.

... and one wolves fans first tweet was a dig at villa. Like Jesus Christ. Enjoy your top of the league not worrying about others

"Football club has dickhead supporters posting on social media! Shock! Horror!"

Everyone has shit days at the office. Ours was Saturday. Love the whiny shit from Derby and Villa though. Every time we lose or draw, we get epic comments from their managers..."catchable!", "there for the taking!", "wait until they play in the cold in January".... :bg:

A common chant at Molineux at the moment is "we're always shit in the winter"

Quite funny looking at all these comments about how Wolves players all dived and all the Preston players were making good robust but perfectly fair challenges. Like in the good old days. And how you played us off the pitch. You're becoming a bit like Trump in a football team. :bl::blush::bg:

I'm waiting for the "if Welsh hadn't been sent off for knowingly stroking an orphaned kitten we would have taken you to the fekkin cleaners" comments.
It's true. We are actually dreadful. One day we're going to get found out.

Edit: Oh wait. And we have shit support too. 5,600 and they didn't make a peep all afternoon. (Funny that because I can hear them almost throughout the match on the full game recording)
