Didn't go on last night but people I know who did said it was a promising performance, Browne and Keane impressed and Hugill made a big impact.

Wolves have had a dodgy start and defensively don't look all that but on their day the could easily have too much for us with the likes of Henry, Afobe and Le Fondre but we've got to be aiming for 3pts at home.

We've got plenty of striking options at the moment but Grayson continues to leave Garner isolated up top, May and Doyle playing out wide at Brentford was a joke. We've worried too much about the opposition at Deepdale and have been punished by the odd goal, we need to start taking more risks.

Gallagher returning would be a huge boost, think Huntington is a doubt and Beckford is out long term.

Two up top please, playing in close proximity to each other.

Pickford
Woods, Clarke, Wright, Cunningham
Browne, Welsh, Johnson
Gallagher
Garner, Doyle

Kirkland, Vermijl, Humphrey, Kilkenny, Keane, May, Hugill
Swap Keane in for Gally if he's not fit enough to start.

I like that formation more than the 3-5-2, which just doesn't work at home.

in need of a win for a bit of confidence.

Gallagher isn't even training yet, could be another month I reckon. He was interviewed on Radio Lancs last night and he is doing rehab work with the Physio and apparently "itching to get back"

Bollocks, we badly miss his link-up play, Keane would be the obvious replacement for me.

Agreed, I think Keane is better behind the strikers, although he played well up top last night.

Preston's first home win of the season here. Our defence is so inept at this level, i'm bored of saying in every thread on how much we have fucked up in selling Richard Stearman. Here will be just another game where our defensive mistakes will be exposed.

Martinez

Iorfa
Batth (If he returns from injury)
Hause
Golbourne

Price
McDonald

Henry
Wallace
Bryne

Afobe

Score? I'll go for 3-1 PNE

Away so not able to do usual prediction and now the game's half done. We're one-nil down, they're one man down. Predict that Preston will get another goal. Preston 2-0. We really are inept at the moment, a gift to other teams. After the game, Jackett will patiently explain that the other team was "better than last season" (You don't say?!) and on Tuesday, a designated Wolves player will be quoted in the Express & Star as saying "we didn't play well enough" (You don't say?!) and that we "have to pull our socks up". (You don't say?!)

If I look through the team, only one of the back four is really currently Championship promotion quality (Batth), two in the midfield (McDonald, maybe Henry), and one up front (Afobe).

Far from being feared, Wolves are probably one of the few teams that everyone will fancy their chances against for three fairly easy points.

Please don't send Wright off...it's just too embarrassing to lose to 9 men :(

Sadly, there will be real anger from some of the Wolves lunatic fringe if we lose today. Possibly our worst defeat in a year.

Both sets of fans will be gutted by the result. One side after getting a point despite playing so well for 90 minutes, the other after playing so poorly for 90 minutes. We could have kept playing for several hours of added time and not scored.

When they were chanting "You don't know what you're doing!" I am now not sure who it was aimed at.

I hope that referee has to watch his whole family die in a horrific fire. Fucking c***.

I don't even think he's inept, I think he's a biased cheating cuntstain.

We didn't deserve anything from that, and a draw really papers over the cracks on how poor we are.

I didn't even celebrate when we scored, I was more embarrassed that we were comfortably contained by 10, and then 9 men.

Sorry if people think it's a rash decision but Kenny Jackett needs to go. Every week he comes out with these bizarre team selections, wonders why were shit and then praises the opposition in the post match interview. A 1-1 on paper away to PNE looks decent but in reality it was awful. We didn't deserve anything from the game and drew purely down to some shit referee. For me a point doesn't seem justified, unlucky to Preston they were robbed and deserved the 3 points.
