The tone was set for Friday night when my mate's car broke down at Charnock Richard, haven't seen any replays yet but their first penalty looked soft.

Annoying as fuck to leave with only a point in a match we dominated but Welsh's tackle was daft. I was fairly tanked up so can't really go too in-depth on the match but it's another 2pts dropped.

Don't believe the Preston hype, the first pen was nailed on. Arms around the player using his own bodyweight to drag him down, quite how the lad can go in the press and say he was shocked it was given is embarrassing. He never ever had any intention of going for that ball, whereas Pope did.

Just seen a replay, looks like Pope has decked it like a sack of spuds to me. Vale fans would be crying like fuck if that was Garner.

A stupid, possibly tired foul by Welsh to give away the second one.

Never a pen the first one, Pope has lobbed himself to the ground. You see that 10 times a game and it is never given.

Who's whinging? I said I initially thought the penalty was soft, watched a replay and I still think it is.

Ian's desperate attempts to excuse Tom Pope a few posts above are quite funny though, like I say, there would be uproar had Garner done the same.

You never usually get the first penalty as said but then on their penalty I think its a foul in the build up on Neal. That said I've no issue with the penalty against Garner's lot considering what he gets away with.
