Ours is wrong, we've won 3 (Gosport, Coventry and Woking) and drawn 2 (Havant and Bognor). 11 points instead of 8.

We beat Bristol City 1-0 tonight, academy player Max Melanson scoring a 90th minute winner.

Very much looking forward to Peterborough away tomorrow. Not sure what to expect from this friendly in memory of Chris Turner.

Fierce rivals who haven't met for years don't usually do friendlies, but I hope it passes without any problems off the pitch but a very good competitive game on the pitch.

Not a fierce rivalry if you can play a first team friendly against each other.

Beating Scunthorpe 1-0, Jenner. Played another experimental team though, fuck knows what it might be next week.

Scunthorpe Reserves 2 - 1 Notts Trialists.

Fun game though. We deserved to win and I could give a match report or something because we actually played well even with a defence containing 3 foreign trialists but...no-one really gives a fuck (except a few weird Notts fans).

Only weird thing about this preseason is I have no idea what the team will be Saturday. It'll probably have Spencer and Stead in and that's literally all I can be relatively sure of.

at a guess, going off the friendlies.

Carroll
Swerts - Amevor - ??? - Adams (if he's still alive somewhere)
Thompson - Aborah
Jenner Stead Snijders/de Silva (because Burke is injured...how do we have so many injuries?!)
Spencer

I forgot we'd even signed Burke. We need to stop dicking about with an expensive striker and just sign a good centre back.

I still maintain that Amevor and Hollis would probably be fine. We've just spent the entire pre-season fucking about with trialists and Alan Smith rather than giving them both an extended amount of time playing together though.

Beat Forest Green 5-3 last night. We were 3-0 down after half an hour, and then just took them apart. 139 Greens went to Forest Green.

Also beat Torquay Tuesday night 1-0. Carey with the goals, 810 Argyle there, more Argyle than Torquay!

It's not something that's ever been done before between the two clubs, but in memory of Chris Turner - it would be a perfect fit to remember a great footballing man.

Asking for trouble IMHO. Bound to attract a certain element from both clubs. It might be different if you played each other regularly, but first time in over a decade... risky.

Final pre-season friendly for Carlisle today, at home to Oldham. Should be another good challenge for our players.

I understand where you're coming from. On the pitch though I think it will get us ready for next week. No holding back from players today as it will be like a league game on the pitch. Very much looking forward to seeing a competitive game.

Peterborough Legends vs Cambridge Legends, that's how you do it, not like this. The rivalry is dead, and that's exactly how our board want it.

"Rivalry is dead" - are you insane? I'm desperate to play them in a competitive match so we can put them back in their place. Forget any animosity with Histon, Stevenage and Luton over the last 10 years, our rivalry with Boro is the big one.

A "friendly" with them is entirely inappropriate, regardless of the moral reasons, as it will only bring out nobheads. And nothing should be friendly about playing them. I can't stand them.

Winning 1-0 at Bishop Stortford atm. Jobi NotEnuff has deigned to swan back from international duty for this one and grabbed the goal.

Drew 0-0 with Coventry on Nuneatons ground. It should have been at the Kassam but our new pitch is not ready yet.
Hit the woodwork 3 times and missed a penalty - but generally we had the better of the game.

Beat Oldham 3-1.
Goals from Balanta, Asamoah and Rigg. Grainger also missed a penalty early on.

Another good team performance, a lot of neat passing and playing it out from defence. Raynes had a solid game, Balanta played very well in the centre, as did Kennedy and Hery.
