My rule of thumb is when you hear, for example, "Wolves, Newcastle and Burnley" are interested in a player, that's an agent putting it out there that these are the types of clubs that might be interested in their player.
If just one team is primarily mentioned (even if a smaller subsequent mention of others) then it's a bit more likely.

The Wilshere one was a complete stab in the dark. Arsenal hadn't even announced he was leaving at that point. It was just something I could imagine.
