we look such a good side at the moment, just completely nullified top of the league.
Great result that. Exciting time for you guys. Can we have Hugill yet?
If the price is right.
How much do you reckon that is?
Preston look very impressive, putting a lot of clubs with much bigger budget to shame.
Was Maxwell on drugs yesterday? either that or the bang to the head he had in the first half actually had some last damaged, he was all over the place. Probably the worst i've seen him since he joined and he kept a clean sheet and saved a penalty...
Comical how he conceded the penalty. Just ran at the ball and past it ffs.
For a keeper that plays like he does, the only real fuck up that has cost us is at Wednesday. Impressive really. If that's as poor as he gets then i'm happy.
I'm glad PNE won that one. Don't mind your club. Proper club and proper fans. Brighton have assembled a good team and have a good manager but their fans last season were caustic. Some of the vitriolic bile coming from sections of their fans was quite astonishing. Not the true supporters I am sure, but the happy clappers who came out of the woodwork AFTER the begging buckets of the Withdean days and suddenly turn up when they had a decent team to follow. A real bug bear of mine when 'fans' jump on the success bandwagon, who were happier to do something better with their time than support their club through tough times. Hope Preston get in the Play Offs and come up. It's lonely up here without any local teams to have bragging rights with. P.S. Thought you were brilliant against Arsenal and was pleasantly surprised how well you played.
It's rare i'll give credit to Burnley but it looks like you'll stay up with ease this year, Dyche gets on my tits at times but he's done a superb job with you.
Read that you were something like 5th in terms of making a net profit across the European leagues in the last financial year
Gives every other club which doesn't have parachute money or an owner willing to throw a fuckload of cash on players a bit of hope.
I make no secret of my personal feelings towards Dyche and the 'style' of football. Not a fan myself, that said he does get the best out of the group.
The board have managed our finances marvellously and yes we made a profit on the 2014/15 season of about £40 million, despite relegation. Last years net profits will actually even out at breaking even but 2016/17's we are set to make an even bigger profit of £60 million. Of course that can be improved based on where we finish. This based on accountants in the know connected with the club.
We've got 17 games to get 14 points (40 being the largely regarded target of survival) but I think 10 more points will be enough. Obviously the higher we finish the more money we get.
I very much think Preston have a good blueprint to follow in you have kept faith with your manager and it is reaping dividends. If you can get promoted with the framework you have used and can maintain that, as we have. There's no reason you can't mirror our success.
Best of luck for the rest of the season.
Still made it into TOTW
Ew. Don't like these good words from a dingle. Must be plotting something![]()
