Beavon was fantastic. Did not score many but run his lungs out everyweek creating opportunities for others. Held the ball up well and bought others on.

Jfh? Yes he will go, but I don't think yet. Leeds in too much mess for him to jump ship. Maybe In the new year. He's still got a lot to prove given he has only been here 5 mins.

Gimp muzzle is even better than gonk tube.

He plays a different position from when you had him, and was much improved.

Back on topic.

How fantastic it is to watch beckfords strike again. Such a quality striker.
He's been incredible for us. 15 goals and 12 since 28th February. Hilarious how much our fans slated him when he first came here.

Watching the highlights again in 5 minutes :D

I found it quite funny today when the commentators kept saying wembley will be pne's biggest game in years well infact no it will be there biggest game since colchester last week. Hopefully were involved but i can't see it.

Lost count of how many times I've seen someone say 'this is the biggest game in years' for us over the last 4/5 seasons. Such an annoying cliche

Apparently the after match incident made it onto the BBC News at 10, what a world we live in.

Oustanding game to watch as a neutral. I called it at the kickoff that Chesterfield would play pretty football and have no end product and I was right. To not play a striker up front in a playoff match is utter foolishness. Beckford continues his run of scoring whenever I see him too, that's 9 in 7 now, shame I'm not going Wembley eh PNE fans?

John Welsh was outstanding today, also thought Bailey Wright was a deserved MOTM but Welsh is a proper midfielder, great engine on him. Beckford's goals today were also sublime. Thought Gary Roberts had a poor game, in particular his corners were dreadful, but Clucas looked lively. Still can't believe he chose Mansfield over us a couple of years ago cos we would've got a very good fee for him. Great little player to watch.

Feel sorry for Chesterfield if Paul Cook goes. I don't get why anyone would want to drop down a level and go to Portsmouth apart from the money, the job is a poisoned chalice and that squad is hideously crap despite their big club reputation. Chesterfield have their work cut out now in trying to find an adequate replacement, just take Davis lads, you know you want to!

Beckford's loan reminds me of one Matt Smith - absolutely slated when he first joined, and even labelled 'the worst loan signing ever' by some on OTIB - but fast turned it around, scoring some cracking goals, and soon became a hero.

Despite Garner and Beckford's goal scoring exploits, John Welsh has been our best player since Christmas, I think i've had him down as man of the match in about 90% of the games we've played since then.

Bailey wright was the right call though, he was everywhere and didn't lose out on anything.

As bad as it sounds, it's our best option! Our 2 'strikers' are Armand Gnanduillet and Byron Harrison. Both are probably non-league at best. Absolutely useless. Clucas is a winger who can slot in at left back, but he's not a striker, as the world could see with his bad misses

Seriously think if you had a competent centre forward yesterday you could've really caused Preston enough problems in the first half that you would've scored. Was behind the goal and Clucas wasn't far off with his first attempt but second attempt he needed to place it either side of the keeper, keeper did make himself big though in fairness.

Just watched the 'Evatt Attack' on YouTube.

The Preston 'fans' properly shit themselves when he reacted, especially the bloke in the Sergio in the picture below

Absolutely brutal, I hope Evatt gets the counselling he needs after such a traumatic experience.

Regardless of the wind up mate it is bang out of order, much like when our lot swung at Clint Hill et al back in 2010.

Very disappointed in the lack of a "vile... animals" comment from any of our lot.

They should force each one who attacked him to face him 1 on 1 and let them take their punishment that way!

Apart from the guy in white who runs in behind him and hits him on the back of the head.

Or is this just great Preston banter as per usual? Are you 'reeling one in'?

Says a lot about you and some of your fans, you're desperate to make out like the guy being punched for having the audacity to play for your rivals is the one in the wrong. Get fucked.

Are you blind? I watched it and there was atleast 2 punches thrown and a guy clearly spat on him. Hopefully those bellends involved get banned.
