0-1 at HT. No more needs to be said really. See you Sunday.

I said we'd win if Gardner didn't play. Gardner played.

Not that it was his fault, he's just the weak link in a very good team, he's technically nowhere near the level required. Ariyibi ought t'have started & Armand or Harrison should have come on much sooner; we were crying out for a centre forward once we were in the ascendancy (ie, from 20 mins onwards). Bring on the second half!

I think some Chesterfield fans will be in for a shock if they're expecting a similar game on Sunday.

Expecting a similar game? i'd fucking hope not, watching us have loads of the ball and not do a lot with it again would be infuriating.

There'll be a few CFC fans who still hold hope, but we needed a lead from the first-leg for me, Preston should comfortably see it out.

It won't be comfortable, this is Preston.

I expect a much more open game on Sunday though, can't see us completing a 'backs-to-the-wall' job on a bigger pitch in front of a nervy home crowd.

If anyone ever wonders why I hate our fans, here is a very good example of why.

If you don't want to read the 15 pages of drivel, I will post my response here for you...

"Nobber and Bhagwan literally know the square-root of fuck all about football, clearly.

It would be quite amusing if it wasn't so fucking embarrassing to have you class yourselves as "fans" of this club. People like you are the reason I don't come on here very often and why I often feel like putting headphones in and listening to screamo shit music on full blast at home games.

Get a fucking grip. If you want to see beautiful football and 5-0 wins every week, log the fuck off your computer/phone/device you use to moan about us, and watch Barcelona on TV.

c***."

Them two need to take a very long bath in acid. Twats.

Yeah "Nobber" seems to have had a nervous breakdown.

He's always been a c***, but he's outdone himself these past few days.

On reflection I'm not so down about last night. We played reasonably well and one mistake cost us the game against a side who are defensively very solid.

I'm not expecting a turnaround at Deepdale but we are arguably better suited away against sides like PNE so if we can score first it's very much game on.

Think i'm going to go in the Kop for the second leg, bit of nostalgia, the last two times i've stood on there for play-off games were the penalty shoot-out win against Birmingham in 2001 (Best.Game.Ever) and our 2-0 win against Derby in 2005. Still not confident, or particularly excited about these play-off games but what else am I going to do?

I'm still rueing our first 20 minutes, god we were bad, it was like they hadn't played 46 league games prior, looked to have completely bottled it.

Thankfully we got dragged through it and then went on to play well, hopefully preston will start how we did on Sunday, and who knows, with a few lucky bounces we could be straight back into the tie.

Different game on Sunday, bigger pitch and more space. Chesterfields attacking play would suit us and I doubt they could keep that sort of pressure up on a bigger pitch. The lack of quality in the final third and some mistakes could be the difference. Hope the ref has more bottle as key decisions weren't given, still all to play for and I'd like to see us show why we were placed as favourites ;)

Second leg will be a good watch, fantastic result for Preston last night but Chesterfield will throw everything at them at Deepdale I expect. There could be goals in it.

We've sold more tickets than Preston did already which is decent enough with an early ko & a first leg defeat.

Got to laugh at the constant attendance snipes and jibes. No PNE fan gives a crap about it-attendances win f-all. Its goals and that's what we did last night, even though we sat back on a 1-0 lead. You may bring more to us but our home support will still out do the capacity of last nights game at your place...bring on Sunday, I'm sure it's going to be fun :)

Nope not really pal, for all our doom and gloom, we will still turn out. The important thing is the result and a place at Wembley-no one remembers a semi-finalist...unless your PNE ;) it should be a good game, hard to call in any case.
