Important 3pts last night, wasn't pretty but I felt we were pretty comfortable despite not seeing much of the ball. Started both halves like a train but sat back after the goal which was disappointing, lucky goal but pleased for Hugill, not the greatest player in the world but it's impossible not to like him, will battle all day long.

Makeinok showed some very nice touches and looks a player to me, badly faded in the second half though with Tuesday night possibly taking its toll.

Tom Clarke was immense at the back and had Grigg in his back pocket, deservedly won man of the match.

Maxwell looks a great addition too, reminds me of Sam Johnstone, kicking isn't the best but he's rapid off his line and he mops up brilliantly. Showed at Bournemouth that he's a good shot stopper too.

No idea why Wigan persevered with one up front for so long, it was very easy to defend against and I felt if they were going to score it was probably going to be a piece of magic from Jordi Gomez who looks by far and away their best player.

Agree with all that apart from I'd say Wildschut looked their best player. Baptiste was quality 2nd half keeping him quiet.

Was a threat first half but didn't notice him in the second, plenty of pace and power but end product is questionable.

Baptiste looked shaky at right back in the opening 20 minutes but thought he was superb in the second half, very good player.

No idea mate, thought it'd be more than 10,500 home fans for a Friday night game against a local side though, especially given that you're competing at the same end of the table.

On TV and playing Wigan which is no different to playing the likes of Fulham or Burton, crowd didn't surprise me, they've been poor for a while now. Been a while, since we were regularly averaging 13k+ at this level, we would need to get back to challenging the top six for that to happen.

Nobody cares about wigan.
Apart from the 1500 home fans that decided to turn up who didn't go to the Cardiff game. 10,500 is your biggest home attendance of the season so far. The only three games you may get more than that in is against Villa, Newcastle and Blackburn.

Helps that we were off the back of a good cup win, rather than two league defeats on the bounce.

We'll get more on against Leeds & Sheff Weds too, other games will be form dependent.

We had bigger home crowds on against Hull & Rotherham last season off the top of my head.

I thought it was only the Wigan fans at work who were this deluded, it turns out they're not. Wigan are no more important than Fulham, Rotherham etc.
