Could be an exciting season...can't see teams running away with it.

But you never really can at this stage can you? At this point in the season Newcastle and Brighton were far from looking like running away with it, if i recall correctly.

There isn't really any stand out team this season, if we stay consistent as we are the minute I'm sure we'll be challenging right at the top end. We haven't lost since the opening day and have took 11 points from our last 5 with 3 of those games being away from home.

For this season my choices would be (obvious ones 1st) Boro, us, Leeds, Wolves, Cardiff, Villa (less obvious) Preston, Fulham, Derby, maybe 1 of Forest, Bristol City, Sheff Utd could challenge for playoffs, think Ipswich will drop off, don't see Reading having as good a season as last year, think Hull will only be around midtable and Sunderland will find it very hard.
Come end of the season I will probably be way off.

Not sure how Cardiff is an obvious one, they were one of the favourites to go down weren't they?

Huddersfield were first and Norwich were second, while Barnsley, Birmingham, and Brentford were fourth, fifth, and sixth.

Wolves will win it I reckon. Other than them I don't think there's a stand out team and it'll be quite up and down.

Which clubs are duty bound to promote? The Championship is packed with big names, like Leeds, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, but I find it difficult to dertermine the top favorite. Apparently, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Wolverhampton are the richest clubs, but luckily, money doesn't necessarily buy success.

This summer? definitely not, they were one of the form teams in the second half of last season weren't they? finished on the same points as us.

Plus they've spent some cash and kept their better players.

I think our season will be defined on if our main starting XI can stay fit. We already have a lot of injuries as it is, and the squad is getting quite thin (maybe not a good idea to loan so many players out). If Bonatini gets injured we are relying on academy prospect Donovan Wilson to lead the line. Likewise if Neves gets injured, Jack Price will step in, whos ability is dwarfed on what Neves can do.

On the flip side we have had a very good start, all without our standout player of last season Helder Costa. When he's fit, our front line will be quite something for this level.

Yeah but I still expected Newcastle to comfortably go up. Not really based on the current table, just that I don't think anyone will prove head and shoulders above but we'll see.

If we can go on and beat forest on Saturday then I might change my mind a tad. As it is though, I just think we have too much going wrong than we do right. Glad we've got the best striker in the league back and fit. The only team I'm very confident about are Leeds who look very good.
