6 hours ffs, is that normal or train issues?

I thought that was pretty good considering how far out in the sticks Norwich is......

Will probably have to change stations in London as well which involves pissing about on the tube.

Trains always good to travel on with a few tinnies anyway, a lot more comfortable and fun than the coach for sure.

As for promotion; the top 5 look sorted, WBA and Norwich for me will end up in the top two.

Leeds are doing well but you get the feeling that they aren't blowing teams away and have a lot of unlikely points that involves crazy comebacks or last minute winners. Maybe they will be the first Biesla team not to run out of steam in the last 3 months of the season though.

Train issues as per usual. Load of shit, got to get the tube through London and then change at Ely or something like that where I’ve never even heard of.

Can’t miss it though, huge game. Anything less than 1.5k there is wank.

Be amazed if you manage 1k never mind 1.5k. Sounds a ballache of a trip

It's 244 miles each way by road for us bm89. I drove it last year and it took forever. When you consider you're at least an hour and a half closer to us than Norwich, plus we have to get around London, it gives some idea of the distance.
IIRC, the team flew to Norwich last year.
No, I'm not going to contemplate driving it again, I was hanging out of my arse after a 500 miler last year. :sur:

That foul away kit of yours has lasted a few seasons, now.

You leave our beloved purple and lime alone Dan! We've got a very smart black and white number as well but the P and L is iconic to City fans.
What are you doing in here in February anyway? I thought seasons end in November down your way?
Hope you're well fella?

If we win on Tuesday we’re only 5 points away from the autos. Incredible really.

Very open this year.

That game in hand against Boro is looking more and more important by the week. Pity it's a bloody midweek game. :conf:

Leeds will go up automatically. Best team I’ve seen by a mile this season and the best teams find a way to not lose away from home at a strong team when they’re not playing well. West Brom or Norwich to join them. Playoffs are anyone’s guess, no stand out third team like Fulham last year so it’ll depend who turns up on the nights.

I agree, Leeds best side I've seen and I reckon they'll go up as Champions with most likely Norwich runners up.

Impossible to predict who would win play offs. One mistake, one mistimed tackle resulting in a red card can be difference in a play off game..

I agree with you here but only from watching the championship on tv , the tractor derby yesterday thought norwich looked poor couple of mistakes ball fell kindly for them as it did against leeds , any other team then ipswich playing them who cant score would of took something , i like the look of sheff u to but maybe away games might see them in play offs

I don't even know where to start with the above but the poster is clearly illiterate so I will cut him some slack.

On their day, Leeds are a very good side but I have one fear for them.
Last year, we played the high pressing game, as Leeds do now and we were absolutely knackered by the end of February. Given Leeds have a relatively small squad, I fear the same could happen to them. We'll have to wait and see I suppose.

Being honest, I'm not quite sure how we've ended up in such a strong position at the top of the table. After losing our top players in the summer, not reinvesting massive amounts into the squad and then making a dismal start to the season in our first five games, we've turned it around in insane fashion.

We've lost just 2 of our last 26 games now, and on top of that we have a run-in that, on paper at least, is a lot more generous than what our rivals have (of the top 6, we only have to play Middlesbrough and Bristol City again).

Our second half performance against Leeds was the perfect performance and we absolutely dominated. As for the game against Ipswich yesterday, it says a lot that we played poorly by our standards (and I will gladly admit that to be the case) and yet still ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at the end of the day. At the very least, I'd consider it unfair to judge us - or indeed any team - on a performance in a derby game, as form does always go out the window in such games.

By no means do I think it's a done deal (there's 15 or 16 games to go depending on your team, and I'm sure Leeds, West Brom and Sheffield United will push us all the way), but I would be disappointed now if we didn't finish in the top two. At the very least, it's all in our hands now to make sure we make it happen.

This is the stage of the season where the fixture lists can dictate things, although I'd like to think so looking at our remaining games.

Home games: Millwall, Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke, Rotherham, Bolton, QPR & West Brom

We've always been pretty reliable at home, certainly in the last six years, so playing five of the worse eight sides on the road during our run-in gives me confidence that a play-off place should be fairly comfortable. We've had two pretty shocking losses this season, but that accounts for our only two losses at home and nearly half our goals conceded at home (7 out of 15). All of them, aside from West Brom who we play in the last game of the season, are in the bottom half when it comes to away form and in the current table - QPR in 15th is the highest placed team we play at home aside from WBA.

Away games: Ipswich, Forest, Aston Villa, Swansea, Brentford, Blackburn, Birmingham & Bristol City.

The away games are certainly more difficult in comparison, but if we can pick up a few wins on the road then it should definitely sure up our position. We've won as many as we've lost on the road this season, including beating Norwich & WBA scoring eight in the two games in the process.

I think we'll probably get somewhere in the region of 18-21 points at home, 9-12 on the road. I'd suggest that's pretty conservative, although some may argue, which would leave us between 77-83 points. I'm pretty sure that will be enough to see us comfortably in the play-offs this season.

:) Love it! Time wasting not so clever now eh R's?
Pretty even first half, unfortunate to be behind but absolutely battered them in the 2nd. Did they get out of their half?
Love it City. :woo:

Need you to lose to wolves and collapse and go on one of your wonderful losing runs, not holding much hope for that though. We could lose tommorrow, teams win the game in hand and we could be 7th ffs. Win tommorrow and I'd say it's a fucking cert no one below derby are catching us. Cracking promotion race anyway between the 7 teams at the minute

That could happen but we're just enjoying the blast fella. No real pressure to go up at the Gate so we're loving being up there.

Same with us but we have a genuinely good chance of automatic promotion so will be disappointing to miss out and will be unbelievably disappointing to finish 7th.

You won't finish 7th mate, you've got a very good side there and an excellent Manager. Enjoy the ride and remember where you were 3 years ago would be my advice.

Roofe and Gayle, pair of cheats, done us out of 4 points so far.

We’ve made plenty of our own mistakes but away from home against the better sides in this league you really need the refs to do their jobs ffs
