I’d say we’re 4th favourites for autos.

Port vale and northampton are a point ahead with a better goal difference, bristol rovers 2 remaining games are absolute bankers.

Gut feeling right now I think Rochdale beat Rovers on Saturday. At home they are far from a knockover job and have beaten Northampton and drew with ourselves and Salford.

We won there at the death, but with nothing to play for and rovers obviously having something and with what will be a decent following….

Yeah fancy Rochdale against Rovers to get a point, they’ve only lost 4 at home.

Fancy us Monday but depends now how much Exeter want that title as to if it will be in vain or not.

If we lose we might need a win at Exeter to make the play offs which is bonkers.

Mansfield at Salford won’t be easy, I would put Salford favourites at home as they’ve been pretty solid lately think they’ve only lost 2 in months (to us and Rovers) and Rovers was away.

It really could go anyway.

Swindon probably the only side now likely to break into the top 7 from outside but could easily be a situation where 77 points doesn’t do it for them! That said with GD if Bristol Rovers did lose to Rochdale that could be terminal for their play off hopes.

Nuts that you don’t know if to look at 3rd or worry about 8th

Out of the sides in the playoffs it’s sutton id least like to play.

Proper old school duffers, tall physical long ball, play little football - like harrogate / we just don’t know what to do against them.

What condition is Rochdales pitch in these days, its always been like a cowfield whenever I've been there in the past.

I think for us to be honest even just to be in the conversation on this is great given every other season since being back here bar the one that was cut short we’ve been fighting just to stay in L2.

For the playoffs I’m not sure if there is a preferred team to face or avoid. It’s basically a case of throw the previous 46 games out the window and it’s own little mini season. That said we almost never beat Tranmere so best keep clear of them.

Or Swindon! Although we managed to actually win at the County Ground for the first time in 7000 years this season.

If we make them I guess Sutton would be preferred as we schooled them at Vale Park the other week and surely wouldn’t implode again away but you just never know. No one is easy it’s going to be four very closely matched sides regardless.

So drained after watching that tonight. It just didn’t seem like it would happen but thank god for Matt Jay who has once again been the difference. Crazy to think he was basically on his way to the non league under Tisdale.

The club is in a great place on and off the pitch and I am just so pleased we were able to finally put all those Wembley defeats to bed. Even more sweet to do it infront of a packed SJP. The scenes on the pitch at the end were something else.

As for the title race, I can see us winning both games as we’ll relax and play our best football. That said, Northampton are the kind of team we struggle against and maybe tonight will have taken a lot out of the players, who knows. And Vale will have to throw everything at us on the final day.

I’m just looking forward to properly enjoying the next two games, which should both be really crucial for the run in. Haven’t a clue who will grab 3rd.

UTC We are going up!!

Still smashed out my face. I think FGR will get 3 points from Harrogate. Zero from Mansfield. I see us drawing with Northampton 1-1 and beating Vale 2-1.

We win the title.

You all thought I was crazy in January.. 17 points behind. Now zero.

Well now you're gunna believe me...

What a thoroughly enjoyable season, I'm taking a breather now. Wish you all the best and I'll be back for our L1 campaign. Toodle pip.

Great no wonder they have a decent home record. We had a decent home record too until we sorted our pitch out and levelled the playing field

If the players can sober themselves up long enough to get a point on Saturday then that will make the final day interesting, with ourselves and FGR playing for the title and PV and Mansfield playing for 3rd.

I just feel that we will set up with a packed midfield ,a bit like sunderland in the cup and nick the points

over the course of a season teams end up about where they deserve to be over the season and FGR and Exeter deserve to go up. No other team stood out as "they'll go up" although probably Mansfield looked one of the best teams we've played at home (we've obviously not played Northampton at home yet). Who gets the 3rd automatic spot i don't know - but Swindon and Northampton will get as hard a game as Exeter did yesterday when they face us, which will be welcome news to fans of the other teams.

Salford don’t generally bother with midfield play! The ball will probably be about 30 foot above!

A lot of clubs have a midweek day off training and I doubt a few drinks celebrating on a Tuesday night would affect their performance at the weekend. 70's and 80's footballers would laugh their heads off that suggestion.

Besides, I'm sure the players want a title medal, and I hope you do pip the Vegans to the title

Personally thibk we’ve been missing Ollie Clarke and he would be helpful against Salford, like the first half last night we had nobody in midfield getting stuck in and winning the ball.

yep - hoof it in the box towards Matt Smith
Thats was all they did against us, long ball to Matt Smith and had Asante and the other shithouse attacker buzzing around hoping for scraps.

Didnt work against us and they didnt have a plan B but seems to have been massively effective overall!
