Now any promotion is great but do any stand out above the others - maybe the first one you saw or due to the drama involved?

Seen 4 now after this season:

1998 - Title win on the final day at Fulham. We were well ahead of the pack alongside Bristol City all season in what is now League One and actually got promoted together on Easter Monday.

They had a slight advantage going into the last day and needed just to match our result but they lost 2-1 at Preston whilst we earned 3 points thanks to a Jason Lee winner down by the Thames.

Was only 13 then but still remember it well with the pitch invasion afterwards!

1999 - Nothing much better in football than seeing your side win at Wembley against the odds - 2-0 v Bolton. We got into the play-offs thanks to a Tommy Mooney inspired run of 22 points from the last 24 available.

Somehow won at Birmingham in a dramatic shoot-out in the play-off semi and beat a well fancied Bolton side with a stunning overhead kick from Nicky Wright and a late goal from Allan Smart.

2006 - Again promoted against the odds via the play-offs in Cardiff against Leeds in Boothroyd's first season. Had Marlon King firing in the goals and Ashley Young showing his class.

Despite being outnumbered in the stands at the Millennium Stadium we outfought Leeds on the pitch.

2015 - Such a dramatic season even after we'd won promotion with the slight downer of failing to win the title but still a wonderful season despite some early off field trouble. So many goals and points with some great matches.

Probably go for this season first because it was such a tense and close battle with so many ups and downs.

Then 99 due to winning at the national stadium.

League One promotion was better than League Two title winning.

All three promotions I've witnessed have been impressive in their own right.

1998 - the greatest play-off final there has ever been, 4-4 and won 7-6 on penalties, I was only 9 but will never forget the emotions I felt during those two and a half hours. The 13 consecutive clean sheets that preceded the final was ridiculously impressive too.

2000 - Bounced straight back to the PL after winning the division one title. 12 consecutive wins from Boxing Day onwards, that was a fantastic side, probably my favourite ever as a Charlton fan.

2012 - 3 years of misery in League one to then piss it with a record number of 101 points, brilliant.

I can't really rank them, the play-off final was obviously especially special given the game it was and promoted us to the PL first time but I couldn't enjoy the game at the time. 2000 was great, to bounce straight back and the side were delightful to watch but 2012 was a huge relief to finally get out of League One and we broke numerous club records on the way.

I'll just sum up the 3 I remember in the run of games which painted the picture for the season:

1. 2005/06 - 106 points in 45 games. Record breakers. Best team the Football League will see for some time yet. Unstoppable.

2. 2011/12 - 61 points in 24 games to take us from 11th in December to Champions with two games to spare. Machine.

3. 2001/02 - 9 draws in the final 10 games to creep over the line. So nearly threw it away again. Long awaited.

1998 - Unlucky not to win the League 1 title but Watford were a better side clearly who won Promotion to the Prem a year later whilst we were relegated back to League 1.
Both teams dominated the division and deservedly went up together.

2007 - Finally we were back where we all feel we belong, in the Championship. As Stelling said on Soccer Saturday that day we had been bashing at the door for years and it was a sense of relief.

2015 - Has been the best season in a long long time and we have finally won our first League title in 60 years after many promotions ending up as runners-up. Again like 1998 we were well in control of the League and were top since September.
Pretty certain this side would well beat the other two promotion sides.

1989/1990: Was very young so only remember bits and bobs but many consider this team the most exciting we've ever had. Easy on the eye football, two quick as lightning wingers and bags of goals. The real sour point was throwing away the title to our arch rivals Rovers who were a bunch of long ball merchants. That hurt badly as a kid especially as they beat us at their place to snatch it from us after we,d been top for so long.

1997/1998: A strange season. Promotion was effectively won with an incredible run of form from October-January where we won something like 13 of 15 games. Us and Watford were miles ahead of everyone else with only a brief scare from Grimsby. Again, we threw away the title in the last few games and got relegated straight back the following season which really put a dampener on things again.

2006/2007: Not the best footballing side but the best promotion for excitement as we battled all season long with Forest and finally clinched it on the last day infront of a sellout crowd. This was the most satisfying promotion given that we'd been stuck in the league for 8 years and had been there or thereabouts all that time (including two 3rd placed finishes/playoff defeats in a row and watching countless other teams celebrating at our expense) Finally getting out after all that was the most amazing feeling in the world.

2014/15: 99 points, 96 goals scored, only 5 defeats and two trophies won. Absolutely dominant from start to finish and top all season barring a couple of weeks where Swindon had played more games than us. And champions at long fucking last!!!!!! What a team.

2005/06.Promotion to the Premier League with 106 points.Just 2 defeats in the league all season at home to Plymouth and away to Luton.Played great attacking football scoring 99 goals.

2011/12. Promotion to the Premier League.Started off that season badly.We were second from bottom in September.The 3-2 win at Bristol City turned things around.Just 1 defeat in the final 4 months of the season.

93/94.Promotion to division 1.A brilliant season with McGhee as manager.Dont remember much of this promotion season as i was only 10 years old.Jimmy Quinn had a great season and we won 6-4 down at Exeter City.Finished second in division 1 the following season but as only 1 team went up automaticly that season we ended up losing to Bolton in the playoff final after being 2-0 up at half time.

2001/02.Promotion to division 1.We had lost the playoff final to Walsall the previous season and didnt start this season very well.Lost at home to Cardiff, Brentford and Swindon after which some fans wanted Pardew to be sacked.Thankfully he stayed and our form picked up when Salako joined on loan.Should really have gone on to win the title but drew 9 or our last 10 games and Brighton won the league.We ended up needing a point at Brentford who had to beat us to go up instead of us.Thankfully a Cureton equaliser got us the point we needed.

This season my first proper promotion where I really do care about the club, I'd only been going for a few games in the L2 winning season. I will never forget a few weeks ago it was absolutely class! Thinking you can only hope to go up if preston slip up, we done our job and when the news of Colchester scoring came through the last 15 minutes where incredible.

People complain that stadium mk doesn't have an atmosphere but you should have heard it then!

I was 4 when we won promotion in 95 so not going to claim it came anywhere close to 07.

That being the sole promotion I've seen, first one at the new wembley, it was absolutely class. Obviously what came the season after wasn't but it was worth it.

I'd say I had a better day out last year when we lost to QPR than WBA in 07 but probably because I was only 16 back in 07.

1995/96 was my first season watching Derby as a 10 year old. It easily beats the Playoff win in 2007. Easily!

That 20 odd game unbeaten run. Dead Sturridge scoring for fun. THAT game against 3rd place Crystal Palace which sealed promotion. THAT pitch invasion at the Baseball Ground.

The League 1 promotion was something special. That whole season was. Unlikely to experience a season like that ever again.

1990/91
Finished third in the second division but also won the League Cup, one of the best passing teams I've seen play and David Hirst unplayable, finished 3rd in the top flight a season after.

2004/05
Promotion to the 2nd tier in front of over 44k Wednesday fans at the Millennium stadium, not a great season by any stretch but it awoke us from our slumber.... Sort of.

2011/12
Pipping the dirty red and white bastards to promotion on the last day of the season, over 38k home fans at S6, unbelievable end of season form to overturn them bastards.

2005/06 - Won't get any better than 106 points, truly an absolute joy to watch and some memorable trips up and down the country watching us blow teams away. Will never forget Reading grinding to a halt for the promotion parade.

2011/12 - Great end of season run, doesn't get much better than winning at West Ham, Brighton and Southampton to beat them all to promotion. That night in Southampton was one of those 'you had to be there' moments.

1993/94 - Great team under McGhee, like Daz I was still a young lad at the time, but always remember Jimmy Quinn and his name constantly being chanted on the Southbank. So unfortunate that he couldn't lead us to back-to-back promotions which would have been some achievement.

2014/15 - This season tops the lot in my book. It's had absolutely everything and with so many twists and turns, right up to the final minutes of the last game. It's the best AFCB side we've probably ever seen, the highest ever finish, and as a bonus a major piece of silverware. It might never get any better than this for us.

2009/10 - Our promotion from League Two to League One in Howe second season, and first full season. We have a squad of 14-15 senior players supplemented by a couple of loans and a few youth team teenagers, and managed to play some nice football in a tough league. A cracking promotion battle with the famously bizarre circumstances at Notts County winning the league, plus Rochdale and Rotherham kept us busy all season.

2002/03 - The first promotion I witnessed in my time, the club's first for 16 years. A memorable 5-2 playoff final victory over Lincoln at the Millennium Stadium. A typical Sean O'Driscoll squad made up of small technical and mostly young players put together from the youth team and cast offs from other youth teams, led and spearheaded by the old warhorse BigFletch(c), who's playoff final volley remains one of the club's best ever goals!
