Used to see Duncan Ferguson a lot at the night clubs when he was at Dundee Utd. In fact I got off with one of his girlfriends before she met him too.

I was pals with the Glasses, and saw Steven Glass play regularly on the fields here. Also grew up with Mo Ross and his brother, they always had a ball with them.

A mate of mine used to play against Charlie Adam too.

James Tarkowski formally of latics and now Brentford lived near me and although not at the same school we were in the same year, so I played against him on quite a few occasions. He played centre Mid back then and used to boss it, although we did beat them in the Year 9 Oldham cup final:giphy:

Tom Ince was in my Primary School and Dave Raven was a couple of years above me at secondary school. All the parents at school used to hate Paul Ince because he'd roll up in his Range Rover and park on the zigzag lines outside school thinking he was above the law just because he was minted. Once a c*** always a c***!

If anyone ever challenged him on that he would be one of the prats who would only play the black card anyway. Fucking helmet

Alex John Baptiste (think at bolton now) was in my year and played in the school team with him until 14 - when he went to mansfield - I was on the left wing and he was (unsurprisingly in defence) used to get free tickets from him when at stags.

I got moved around a lot when I was growing up, I lived in different parts of Europe as well as New York, Chicago, even Sydney for a bit. But I also lived in Rosario for a while when I was really young like 6/7. There I used to kick the ball around with some local lads, I didn't speak the language but they let me play. Anyway there was one kid who stood out a mile even at that age, he was exceptional. I do often wonder what little Leo is up to these days.

Paul Evans - ex Shrewsbury, Brentford, Bradford and Nottingham Forest amongst others (plus several full caps for Wales) - now a physio at Leeds I think.

Was in the same school year as him (at a different local school) and played against his school teams from ages 7-15ish. The guy was just ridiculously good and would score 7 or 8 goals every match without breaking a sweat. When he played for Shrewsbury he suffered from 'local lad syndrome' and got a ridiculous amount of undeserved stick off our fans (see also Jamie Tolley and Dave Edwards)

I lived next door to kris commons, His parents still live around the corner. Gareth Bales Grandma moved onto our street when he was at southampton and i think she still lives there. Also played for the same sunday team as Patrick Bamford before he went to forests academy. And used to play against Mason Bennett's school team quite often, he played a few years above his own. Still got friends who are close to him and Will Hughes (who is an utter knob)

David Moyo (played in the same Sunday league team), Leon Lobjoit (played in the same school team) and George Williams (year above at school). Only one who has really made it is Williams (Barnsley).

Mason Bennett turned out last Summer in the 6 a side league I play in, Couldn't even get near him to kick him. Jon Dlaryea also turned out once and I meggsed him

If anyone can remember Albert Scanlon. Survivor of the Munich Air disaster, His missus still lives in Mansfield now, Next door but one to my auntie!

Joe Hart who played for Meole Brace Juniors FC u11 to u15s, I was team manager of a different age group whilst he played for the club but now I am the club Chairman. Joe has been back to our club for end of season presentation giving out the trophies on several occasions, great with the kids!

Paul Bracewell (Sunderland, Everton) when he played school football for BRJ school in Wellington (Telford) who we played against several times. He was always set for better things!

Went to school with Max Power. Think White Army did too, iirc.
I did, played football with him as well for a time, could always tell he had something special, just on character alone. Nice lad.

My brother played in the same area teams as Joe Hart and Billy Jones (Sunderland). He still sees Billy occasionally.

They also all played in the same cricket team at u11. Billy moved on, but Joe and my brother carried on in the same team, which didn't lose a single game in their 5 years, including winning the national u13 and u15 tournaments. Why Joe picked football over cricket I'll never know ;)

Good mates with Ipswich/Col U striker Jack Marriott.

One of my good mates is best mates with Callum Robinson of Preston, that's about all I've got

I used to play in the same team as Sammie Szmodics' older brother when I was younger, he was tiny then but used to kick a ball around on the side. Remembering how tiny he was I find it highly unfair that he now gets to play for us and I don't though haha.

I was mates at uni with a lad whose brother Jamie Stephens was a goalkeeper for Liverpool's youth team, he's playing for Newport now.

Oh, and Tom Eastman used to play for Weeley in youth Sunday League so, with him being the same age group, I am going to assume I must have played against him a few times around U10s-U12s etc. I scored a hat-trick against Weeley one year, so presumably he wasn't playing centre half that day... or perhaps he was, which explains why we're getting relegated!

Knew Ashley Westwood from his dad re-wiring our house, little fella used to come along with him. Nick Powell played in the cricket leagues for Haslington before going all big time. Rob Hulse also used to live down the road too before he became well known.

My brother went the same school as Ajay Leitch-Smith and also played football against Kelvin Mellor.

My mate bought Jamie Mackie, Scotland International and Premier League "star", a pint in exeters finest student nightclub Timepiece on a night out once.

That was before he fucked off to the argyle scum down the road.

Used to see Richard Logan in Timepiece all the time. Pretty sure he lived in there.
