These two are obviously heeding TractorBoys post from earlier in the week...
This thread is beyond farce.I thank the futureswhite should stop posting for awhile. The point he was trying to make, when we where going through hell.5 pro footballers,2nd year scholars left because we weren't allowed to offer them new deals.Transfer embargo,No loan fees allowed, Administration,Points deduction, relegation. All while Anderson was taking money out off the club Infront off theEFL noses, with the blessing of Shaun Harvey.3 times the club was all but sold 3 times Anderson wanted more.Him and son left the the club with their pockets bulging. But still Doncaster Rovers and Lincoln City wanted us thrown out off the league. What kind off football supporter would wish that on any club

We've not wanted anyone thrown out the league, I'm not sure where you got that from.

You both said the punishment was to lenient, 2 relegations is that not enough.Anderson by the way did the same at Southampton.A week before administration Harvey was saying what a good job he had done at Bolton. When Harvey stepped down from the EFL ,he had his leaving do at 1 off Anderson's Mayfair restaurants. Both by the way are now in administration, can you see pattern . And you still think it's lenient?

If you can find me where we said it was too lenient then I'll stand corrected but I can't recall us mentioning Bolton like that.

The only time we've mentioned Bolton was when we were effectively fighting yours, and Macclesfield's, corner on the PPG ending last season where the EFL wanted to base PPG on the points total as it stood rather than points won over the season (which was unfair on those who started on minus points). That would have increased your points total albeit ultimately still relegated you.

Yup, I'd be interested to read where it say's that we wanted Bolton to be thrown out of the league.

We've been very vocal on having procedures and legislation in place to avoid clubs falling foul of scrupulous owners.

I think thefutureswhite needs to be banned. On behalf of the majority of Bolton fans please can someone ban him. I don’t know if he is a troll or genuine or just a deeply unhappy individual who feels the need to go on a forum and wind people up because he has no life, but I like many are sick of him already. Pretty much like Si said...there’s no point in other decent Bolton fans even trying to have a reasonable conversation on here if that moron undermines everything.

Completely wrong, at no time did we say we wanted you kicking out of the league, there were a few morons spouting it on Twitter but all clubs have them, look at one of yours who started this thread. The line our club took was that it was for the EFL to sort out and whatever decision they came to we would accept it. The biggest gripe we have is the way your club went about not playing the fixture, a simple phone call would have diffused the situation before it started. In regards to the squad you had, you knew that before a ball was kicked so if you knew you couldn’t fulfil your fixtures before the takeover you shouldn’t have started the season but I blame the EFL entirely for that.

I take your point and thank you for a calm response. The EFL stopped use signing players, and like I said before we couldn't resign the second year scholars they left the club for nothing.Anderson and the EFL are the ones at fault.

Totally agree and most level headed people would. Anybody who would wish another club to go out of business has no right to call themselves a fan and given my club very nearly as in 3 days before the season started went to the wall I and other Donny fans have more than berated the idiots who said they wished you had been thrown out at the time. I’m sure there will be fireworks leading up to our fixture next season with plenty of wum’s stirring the pot on both sides, personally I think it’s time a line was drawn in the sand and confine the whole thing to history

Your right football is nothing without fans. For the first time in ages we can have a proper preseason, with out being on the front pages for all the wrong reasons.Have a good summer and look forward too next season.

Richie Wellens favourite for the Donny job, thoughts?
It certainly looks like it, in respect to that as a player he was one of the best I’ve ever seen play for us, as a character very abrasive, as a manager you have more insight than myself. Personally it’s exciting but it’s always a worry having a fans favourite player becoming manager as it can turn sour very quickly.

Personally I thought he did really well with us. Set out his teams to play decent football and paid off in league 2. This season was trickier as things off the field werent good and we obviously missed out on a number of players from our league 2 campaign that chose to leave - Doyle, Yates, Keshi Anderson, Woolery, Isgrove etc that meant he had to rebuild. Recruiting a bad keeper didn't help which was a blot on the copybook as Benda from Swansea last season was fantastic.

For many Swindon fans the jury is out with him, he left under a bit of a cloud after saying how loyal he had been, which never goes down well with a football fan. I personally hold no grudges and hope he does well. It will be interesting to see if he tries to bring in some of the old guard he had with him before.

I wouldn’t wish Tommy Wright on anyone - even as an Assistant.

The worry with Wellens is that at the first sniff of a perceived better job he’ll be off.

Isnt that a concern for any decent football manager at a smaller club? If you are that concerned about that you may as well employ Richard Money, John Sheridan or someone of that ilk.

To be fair he can’t be worse than either McCann or Moore in that respect plus being an ex player of one of our most successful teams he might just see the job through
