That brings back memories!

One of the scariest landings ever. We were nearly diverted to Amsterdam because of the fog. On the way in the orange from streetlights started to pierce the fog, in my mind at the time it was like going into a war zone. The whole plane was silent and smoke from the fire of crashed planes and bombs visible below.

Then we went into the fog. And we kept in the fog. Still more fog. And more fog. 'Why haven't we landed yet?' Then we came out of the fog, fast. "Shit that's the 2nd floor of a building". BANG we hit the ground, bounced back up, hit it again, bounced back up again and finally settled on the ground with the breaks slammed on.

Good job I hadn't eaten all flight or I would've actually shit myself. The OXO tower coming out of the fog was a fantastic site.

Most likely the computer was flying the approach, auto pilot disengages just above the runway I think in them conditions. think its called a CATIII landing or something
