The footage of Cecil I found quite upsetting, what a beautiful animal in all his glory, taken from this earth by a filthy scumbag. Bless him, he's upset. He'd be more than upset if I ever laid eyes on him.

I like Jimmy Kimmel but while I don't think he made light of it, he was trying to raise laughs in what is a totally unfunny subject matter.

His intentions were good, just misjudged IMO.

He's an entertainer, he can't get too heavy. I don't think he was explicitly looking laughs either really he's just dealing with an audience that is used to laughing at his every other word and who were unsure how to react when he discussed something like this.

I actually didn't get that from him. I felt like he was much more serious than usual and he was trying to raise awareness on the problems of poaching. It's the first time that I have seen him this angry about something.

I do actually agree with you tbh. I like him myself as an entertainer and after watching it again, it's more a case of the audience with the laughs, while I don't think he was necessarily trying to raise them.
