Transfer deadline day passed last week. Will have to wait till Harry has fine-tuned the system he wants to implement but the early signs look promising. I like the look of Colin & Jota on that right side.

How was your day out in Birmingham? You went on some sort of self-imposed silence soon afterwards. Nothing to do with us beating you again? :animatedf:

How have you done since then?

Harry's extinct and is a load of old shite. He's recklessly thrown cash about again and if I was you I wouldn't be expecting anything this season given the complete squad overhaul.

It was a great day thanks, I got banned soon afterwards for rightfully branding SERNWA a nonce.

I have nearly 11,000 posts on this forum, I don't disappear after defeats as it really doesn't mean that much. I also don't care enough about my own clubs insecurities to go onto a football forum and take some sort of satisfaction in another club being shite to make me feel better about my own.

Enjoy your nights alone, El Gumpo.

I dread to think how City fans will react if they beat us on Tuesday

Not in the same way, you have a good set of fans. Reading's support is absolutely pathetic and they don't deserve the continuous success they get.

Why so few Reading fans?
I thought they were a little better supported than only 15,000 after a play off final season.

Last season Reading were third in the league and had 10k at home against QPR in mid January.

Thanks for enlightening us with that pointless information - I'm sure we'd be fascinated to hear how Ashton Gate is full to the rafters every week...

12,655 on a Thursday night game live on Sky.. It's been nearly 15 years since we last had a below-12k home attendance, but keep exaggerating.

Our support has not really changed with success/failure over the past few seasons, just consistent. Last 6 non-promotion seasons at this level averages:
2016/17 - 17.5k - 3rd
2015/16 - 17.3k - 17th
2014/15 - 17.0k - 19th
2013/14 - 19.2k - 7th (hype around big transfer deals probably and some premier-league hangers-on)
2010/11 - 17.7k - 5th
2010/11 - 17.4k - 9th
Personally I prefer that consistently over having a sudden increase of 4,000 fans as we had one good season.

I don't think it needs explaining to that depth, frankly we're a small club who have enjoyed success, nothing more than that.

One or two people in this thread seem a bit bitter that the closest their club has come to the top in the past decade is a Dean Windass goal at Wembley. Also helps to have a superiority complex.

True, I do find it funny how much fans like to put us down for being so small, when we don't even claim to be bigger than we are. We know we're a lower Championship/Upper League One sized club. We wouldn't look out of place in either league.

When was this good season? Did I miss a year or something?

Just under 20,000 average last season, 27,000 seater. The more you know.

This is why I don't read the away support thread anymore...

Bunch of dick-waving over attendances that really mean fuck-all

Same. Haven't read it once this season.. although it might be slightly more bearable now a certain Wednesday fan isn't posting at the moment...

He's not? So theres nobody around to make snidey comments about our following of 694 to Barnsley on a Saturday in December?

You may be one of the more sensible ones but I'm not convinced most of your fanbase think that at all. Looking at your main forum, there was most definitely an aura of superiority and thinking you had a divine right to beat us before the game, and now a lot of stroppy and snidey comments refusing to accept the result or give us any credit. It's alright though, just makes it all the sweeter!
