Scenes at full time. McCormick changed the game IMO, everything looked a zillion times more fluid and imaginative after he came on. Adomah was excellent. Jedinak seems to be a scapegoat.

Predictable. Fully deserved win for Villa. At least Bruce made some subs and went to win the game. Ours waited until after we went behind again and finally makes a sub. Stam should have made a couple of changes far earlier in the game. Should put Obita back in the team as well cause he isn't as bad as Blackett. Far too much ineffective passing at the back from us. Slow and ponderous possession play.

In the press conference after the game Stam said Villa did not try to play football. Should look at ourselves because we sure don't play much football other than passing it around the back putting ourselves under pressure.

In fairness I make Stam right. Don't think, bar the odd Adomah break and misplaced Hutton cross, Villa really threatened in the first half. What they did do was constrict the space Reading could play in to very well. Gollini was certainly the busier of the keepers. On the balance of play the didn't deserve the win but nobody can bregrudge Villa an away win and it was a #professionalperformance.

On a side note there was a bloke a few rows behind me, baseball cap, Burberry scarf, chains, a complete walking stereotype. He spent most of the game making gestures towards the home fans and by the end of the game had managed to strip completely naked - literally. In my mind this is now what JaseTheVillain is like.

Well done Villa, get the feeling this might give them the confidence boost they need to go on a good run.

Our bench is hardly full of options who will improve the side. Only Obita > Blackett for me.

Again another game where the fact that we have the worst strike force in the league was our downfall. It beggars belief how we had the whole Summer and that is all we have. Even more so when our best striker got injured for 4+ months before the window closed..

The other problem is we only have 3 out-and-out centrebacks, 2 of which are currently injured.

This win counts for fuck all if we don't follow it up on Saturday. Fed up of false dawns. Great win last night against an half decent team so fair play to them for that. I'm happy for the fans that go away every other week, they deserve that more than anyone.

I would have subbed Samuel on last night but it's clear that Stam doesn't rate him. Hopefully we will bring in a striker or 2 in January. If we had a decent strikeforce i reckon we would have a decent chance of getting in the playoffs.

Hopefully McShane will be back for the Forest game. Don't think he will be fit for Rotherham on Saturday.
