I feel sorry for Frank Lampard and his father....They definitely were drawn the short straw in life with Jamie and Arry as their relatives.

I don't like QPR that much but what a c*** for leaving a day after the transfer window.

He couldn't get anybody to sign for him last night. He tried Adebayor, who prefers to sit on a bench than play for QPR. I don't blame him.

It's a shame he's left a few days before we play them. It's always great beating him and seeing that ridiculous head twitching away. I don't doubt that this decision was helped by their current league position and their failure to sign anyone other than Zarate this window.

Jamie Redknapp must be greatful every day that he got his mother's looks.

Hope it's the last we ever see of him, although I doubt it will be

Seems like a bit of a knee jerk reaction.

Bruised ego, no new signings and bad knee.

One is a smokescreen - the other 2 the real reason.

I hope its a good while before we see him in management and on telly again. He's been hanging around like an old fart.

Well if the knee problem is that serious he'll have to be resting for quite some time - not hopping into various studios

The knee thing is an excuse though, he'd surely have realised before the start of this season if his knee would have been able to cope, and I bet had QPR been sitting midtable that he wouldn't have resigned. No this is a face-saving exercise and a poor one at that.

Quite agree and I thought he had one at the start of last season anyway which didn't stop Harry working.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
A SPELL-CHECK error has seen Harry Redknapp mistakenly cite a knee operation as his reason for leaving relegation dead-certs QPR.
Redknapp said: “Honestly, I’ll never get the hang of these iPhones. I meant to write: ‘I’m leaving QPR because of their impending relegation’ but the bloody spelling thingy altered it.

“It was such an obvious mistake, I’m surprised the press actually ran with it. I mean, clearly, as a rational human being, the reason I want to leave QPR is that they’re quite ****.

“I’m a professional manager with a reputation to consider, so I don’t want to **** my time away flogging the skeleton of a dead horse.

“And as for the whole ‘knee operation’ thing, I mean, come on. Managers don’t need knees.”

Redknapp revealed he would now be taking a break from football, in order to establish a new business venture buying and selling the wheeled villains from the 1985 film Return to Oz.

He added: “That doesn’t make me a Wheeler dealer, though. I am not a ****ing Wheeler dealer. I’m simply a man who owns and operates a Wheeler dealership.”

Oh god it's started. A day after he's out of a job, and 'Arry tells the local paper here that he wants to buy a season ticket at Bournemouth and get involved.

Pagnell is quite right in saying that 'arry never put a gun to a chairman's head and demanded transfer money. No, no, he just begged and pleaded and threatened to quit unless he got his way completely ignoring the fact that he'd already pissed a load of money up the wall on average players in the last window and had got absolutely fuck all results on the pitch to show for it. The man has to spend big money to even pretend that he's any good at his job because his tactics and man-management skills are non existent.

He must have spent over £50million on players during his time at QPR, which included a season in the Championship, and still came away with the worst win percentage of any QPR manager ever. That fact combined with the way he left Portsmouth and the way he left Spurs, when the egotistical c*nt just assumed that he was a shoe-in for the England job, tells you everything you need to know about a man that has masqueraded as a football manager for the last thirty years.

And yet the media loved him... "Don't be calling me a facking wheeler dealer, I'm no wheeler dealer, I'm a facking football manager." Yeah, you keep telling yourself that 'arry.

The best Arry clip has to be that interview on Pompey's training ground when one of his players smacks the ball at his head.

Definitely Portsmouth, since he mentions Gianluca Festa being injured.

I'm surprised Redknapp was actually able to step down from the role.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I wonder if Redknapp may end up back at Portsmouth.

Their manager will be sacked any time soon

I wonder also maybe whether he'll go with Mandric at his next venture, he usually buys a club, dumps it to someone else for profit then gets another....which of course he's just done.

This would be amazing but won't happen.

Redknapp is done in football unless the Bournemouth job becomes available imo.

He can sit in the boardroom and annoy the chairman if he likes, give a few after dinner speeches about Sandra and the dog, but AFCB is Howe and Demin's empire and I don't think Redknapp will be allowed to get particularly close.
