Marc Edwards did our game, I thought he did well, let the game flow and got most calls right.

He did although moaning at us to speed up the game after Scunthorpe had time wasted since minute one was annoying.

Didn’t do much wrong and even 4th official Trev Kettle didn’t get involved at all.

Without taking anything away from FGR the referee in the game wasn't up to much

Wasn't one of the worst either. He let a lot of things go which most officials would have blown up for and seemed to give us advantages when we'd have been better off with the free-kick as nowhere near the goal or with space to run into. Missed the handball penalty claim in the first half for FGR or left the decision to his AR, while the one he did award at the end looked soft. As you suggest Forest Green managed just fine without any help from the ref.

Seem to recall our commentators saying the lino was flagging for that but got ignored. They thought it was pretty blatant.
I was fairly close to the incident and on first glance it looked like handball. It looked to me like the liner first flagged for a penalty then changed his mind and signalled for a corner, the ref had a quick word with him and they stuck with that. The only thought I had to account for this was the incident was close to the touch line so might have been out of play at the time of the ball juggling.

They are all shit, even a 'championship ref' that we had on Sat.
It would be easier to just name the rare decent ones like Rebecca Welch but that was a long time ago for us.

We had Andrew Kitchen, No game changing issues but did make a couple of baffling decisions (in our favour I may add!)

One Hall shoved their bloke to the ground near the corner. Stone wall free kick that you’ll ever see and didn’t give it!

We’ve won twice with him now this season so he can come again!

We've got L2s favourite figure of fun, Trevor Kettle as the 4th official at Bradford today.

Amazingly he did OK last time he reffed us, can't wait to see what he does this time out.

Best referee we’ve had all season ironically!

He was fourth official the other week for us too didn’t get involved oddly!

that sounds like a damning indictment on the standard of L2 referees this season.
It probably is to be honest! Two games previous he gave a penalty for and against us in each game, sent two of our players off, once to Pope for calling Adams a ******* cheat” when he went down like a sack of spuds at FGR!

He sent a Crawley lad off for an elbow this season (correct decision) and didn’t upset us this time!

Darren Handley reffed our game againt Sutton yesterday.

Not one I've heard of but I'd say he had a decent game.
your match (29th Jan?) must have been his one good game for the season. He was that bad on Saturday that it look like he was either totally inept/incompetent or he'd laid a Barrow win - and one of the Mansfield fans said he was just as bad for the Mansfield v Colchester match last week.

James Bell reffed our game on Saturday, wasn't the best didn't give us much and missed what looked a decent shout for a pen at the end.

Didn’t think Argyle fans could ref your games
He has apparently stated in the past that he is "not an argyle fan". It's a pretty dubious claim in my opinion due to him apparently being seen at home games at gnome park while not working. It's definitely a bit sus, but the EFL seem to be ok with him reffing our games so we cant really say anything.

he is certainly not an argyle fan. People who know him asked and he is, I think, a Man Utd fan. The reason he was asked was that there was a general view that he was an Exeter fan.

New referee arriving this coming season:
Scottish referee, Bobby Madden will join the National Group of referees from the 2022/23 season here in England.
This will mean Bobby will referee League 1 and League 2 games in the EFL.
Bobby has recently relocated to England for professional reasons.
Bobby is a FIFA referee who has been 'man-in-middle' for Old Firm matches and internationals.

Looks like Scotland's loss and our gain.
