To be fair, you have got a little lucky that the league is so god damned shit this season. Not to take away from what you've achieved of course, as for a club your size to have done what you have is fantastic.

Yes... and with the injuries we have had any other year we probably would have gone down. The fact for large portions of the season we were playing a side weaker than our Championship winning one (and a few players who couldn't hold down a place in our League 1 side) yet we're still here shows how pitifully weak & inconsistent the league has been.

Of course the score more goals than you approach is much more fun than watching a Pulis side. I'd rather go down our way than stay up playing for 0-0's.

Assuming we stay up.

• We need a new keeper, Mannone is terrible. However I think its pretty clear that Jordan Pickford is pretty much certain to be given the starting place next season and Mannone is going to be back up
• FB's - Yedlin and PVA are not good enough really. Probably three new ones needed, since we literally have one left back at the club.
• Attacking midfield - MVila and Kirchoff are brilliant but a third CM with some attacking fair is needed really. In fact I'd like two.
• ST - Defoe is getting old.
