Hopefully a conference team ask to take Woods and Hawkins on a free transfer. It would be accepted without hesitation. Both are OK players at this level, but it simply just isn't working for them here

Here's ours. As expected really with Muldoon being offered a new deal the only real surprise.

Presumably Jamie McCombe has chosen to retire and Lee Beevers will also have to retire due to his serious knee injury sustained back in October time.

Sean Raggett
Matt Rhead
Luke Waterfall
Elliott Whitehouse

Players offered new contracts by the Club:

Elliot Hodge
Taylor Miles
Alex Simmons
Andrew Wright

Loan players who have returned to their parent clubs:

No need for us to have a released list this year, everyone has signed for next season other than Straker, who has decided to go part time after getting his HGV licence

Quite surprised, could've been worse. Although I must say I am very disappointed that all three of Featherstone, Hawkins and Woods are still under contract. That midfield will get bullied week in and out down here.

Like you say, expect further departures. Magnay is essential to keep from those offered new deals.

I reckon Magnay will be looking to leave, Walker I'm not sure on and I can see Oates signing up next year which wouldn't be a bad thing, still can't see Amond/Alessandra/Carson being around for conference footy, probably get sold for tuppence to the first team that rings us up.

Some have probably noticed Bradley Wood isn't on our list.

The FA are involved and DC/the Club can't talk about anything. As far as I know, if the FA are involved, it has something to do with alcohol, drugs or gambling?

Boreham Wood’s player retained list is: Grant Smith, club captain Joe Devera, team captain Mark Ricketts, Dave Stephens, Danny Woodards, Ricky Shakes, Angelo Balanta and Bruno Andrade.

The club have also offered re-engagement terms to our top goalscorer and England C international Morgan Ferrier. However, Ferrier has respectfully declined that offer and the club has agreed that if the right offer does come in, he can leave the club.

The club have recently turned down offers in excess of £50,000 for Ferrier and expect movement on this over the summer.

Wood have announced that Junior Lewis, Tom Hitchcock, Jai Reason, Kenny Davis, Jason Goodliffe, Ben Goodliffe, Ben Nunn, Femi Ilesanmi and Matt Paine have all been released, sold or in some cases have chosen to leave the club

Ollie Palmer would walk into any club at this level.
Hope we go in for him...

Shame it didn't work out for Frazer Shaw. Really dramatically improved with us when he was given a run of games. Wouldn't be adverse to giving him another shot, presuming there's an experienced first choice player also.

For us, of those still contracted, the following:

Sam Dalby, Tristan Abrahams, Steven Alzate, Myles Judd, Josh Koroma and Henry Ochieng were all playing youth football at the start of the season. Aron Pollock and Sam Sargeant were around the senior squad but basically back up having just come through the youth team and Michael Clark was out at East Thurrock on loan. The current contracted players is a little deceptive.

Finally some clarity. It is easier to write Southport FC's retained list than a released list. Here goes:

Retained
Ross White
Liam Hynes

Thanks for your time people!

Agree with all them to be fair. The only one I'm not too sure on is McCombe. Weird that Ross never got a look in because of Flinders but Flinders has been let go and Ross offered a new deal.

I'd take Spiess here. He was the only difference between a 3-0 loss and an 8-0 loss for you guys when you came to Aggborough.
Fabian is a good keeper at this level. Had he played in a better side he would have got much more plaudits but he has weaknesses. He started the season very shaky and while he is a very good shot stopper he struggles with crosses and can be capable of the odd very season error.

Not as good as Sam Hornby IMO.

Can't believe how quickly Flinders career has nose dived. He was brilliant for us about 3/4 seasons ago, winning every player of the year trophy going. Was linked with moves to the Championship, then had a poor end to a season and was released, and looks on his way to moving swiftly down the leagues

Hornby won't be back. Burton have triggered an extension to his contract and I think they'll either want him around the squad or will loan him out to a higher division. He's far too good for this level.

He was OK when he first joined on loan but since joining permanently, he was terrible. Made so many mistakes.

Same with us to be honest. He went from Mr Reliable to having at least one calamity moment in every game. Always thought he would've been playing much higher up if he had better distribution.

There's a pattern emerging there, because Flinders looked a cut above when he first arrived at York from Pools, but eventually fell to pieces and earned the nickname "Butter Flinders". This seems to be a common problem with us and keepers though, anyone see Macc's 2nd in the Trophy final...
