Other than Sparrow's faux posturing, can others explain why Woking will be down there?

They won't tear up any trees, but I have them as lower mid-table at the minute.

Because we've had a budget cut of 15% and lost our main players from the last two seasons (Goddard, Rendell, Ricketts, Jake Cole, even Andrade).

We also only have 8 players currently on contract, 2 of them signed from Ryman Premier side Merstham in the summer.

We still probably won't lose to Lincoln though.

Obviously a reported budget cut of 15% isn't great, but even so, it's 15% rather than 50%. Not squandering the budget on two Conference standard keepers rather than one would be helpful, as would the management not signing an experienced player like Poku and then sitting him in the stand all season. We'll miss Goddard and Cole, but Ricketts was very ordinary last season and is clearly past his best, Rendell didn't feature at all, and Andrade was unplayable in about half-a-dozen games and anonymous in the rest - to the extent that he was either on the bench or subbed in most games.

Having said that, I'll certainly be worried if we only have eight players on contract when we start the season. And if one of the players we do sign is Charles Banya, then even I'll be pessimistic about our chances.

Yeah Banya wasn't all that for us last year, I'm pretty sure there's no way he could make Woking better.

Garry Hill could manage 11 traffic cones to safety in this division such is the horrific standard of it.
