You can still get 3/1 on us being relegated. I'd say it was closer to a 1/4 shot. Lump on.

If we lift the embargo we have a decent chance if we can bring in some pace and a decent spine. If we can't get it lifted... Good bye football leagye

Least surprising news of the week...

Dave Jones new Pools manager, sadly I wasn't one of the lucky few that got in at 16/1 before it went down :(

And during our manager search Nigel Adkins was for a while 1/3 And Danny Cowley was at 2/5.
I just can't see Orient going down myself, I think you will just about scrape home.
This graph says otherwise:

OK. It's time for me to revise my opinion.

I think we are going to avoid relegation this year.

If we don't get new players in by the end of the month, we're going to be relying big time on two others being a little bit shitter than us.

2 wins in 23 games I think it is now.

If we go down Steve Davis' legacy will be laying the foundations for a mid-table League One side to become a Conference club.

Playing absolute shite like Charlie Kirk will get us relegated but here's hoping for a new face or two.

That's what happens when goalscorers have all confidence seeped out of them by a horrible brand of football...

Reading through this thread there are at least 4 teams who according to people are definitely getting relegated to the Conference yet only 2 relegation spots. #confused :dk:

The likes of Charlie Kirk playing is down to the club mentality as a whole rather than individual managers. He's one of our highly rated fucking academy players who will get games whether he's good enough or not because without the games we will never sell him, at least "we tried" if he has a couple of seasons under his belt before being released (hey Shelley, Rix, fucking Turton etc etc).

Until this club is dragged kicking and screaming from 1997 to 2017, we're going to have serious flaws and not progress again.

Bowler out.

What gets me though is that what got us to the championship era and the clubs greatest ever era, was the fact we were not reliant on the acadamey, for every Danny Murphy there was a Steve Jones or a Wayne Collins from non league, or an Ashley Ward discarded from a top flight club, we covered all bases and made money from the non league and discarded lads. The non league and the discarded lads also added a hunger and desire as they were on a second chance, they were not pampered acadamey lads. Since Gradi we have just all been about the academy, pampered kids who think they will just one day walk into Liverpool's team, when the reality is that the players we produce now struggle to get into fucking Wigan's side. Add to this an absolute shambles of a manger in Davies then you are left with a massive stinking mess, and the board are solely responsible, Davies was garbage, but he was the boards puppet and they kept in a job two seasons to long.I like Big Dave and Kenny, and I hope they can sort this mess out, I think the Cheltenham match may be the biggest match in the clubs history, lose that then we are fucked.

Yep, and back in our successful years the academy lads were introduced at a proper rate. Most spent a season or two at a local non-league club before getting in the first team, others were introduced slowly. I remember David Vaughan having the worst debut of all time when he was a kid, I don't think we saw him again for 12 months whilst he developed further. Now, the kids never get loan experience and are thrown in, told to sink or swim.

We don't produce now, in fact I see more good youngsters go backwards. Goes back to Garratt, who made some immense saves yesterday btw, and the way he's gone from almost faultless to constant blunders.

The fact it's four years since we had a proper sale from the academy is pretty much unheard of for us (not to mention he's now transfer listed at a average championship side) and the lack of concern is terrifying whilst the academy sucks us dry. The way Artell "sold it" with the "provides players in cheap wages" line worries me. The club will not admit its Crown Jewels is not as innovative as it was and needs a major update, instead it'll go down with the ship.

The way your going that could take until March. :animatedf:

We've got 2 points from the last 2 games. That's shit hot form that should secure safety within the next couple of weeks.

We've bumbled our way to 37 points - very happy with that.

Think we're safe for another year!

37 points is nailed on relegation. Enjoy Braintree next year.

Already been once, we lost 2-1.

No rush to go again.
Before our play off victory there we had played 5 times at Braintree, scored 1 and conceded 7 including that awful 5 - 0 and also a 2 - 0 defeat in February 2013 when we were top of the league and unbeaten since November. Some team called Mansfield then came along and nicked the title....

We've got a really weird record against Braintree.

Won 10 on the bounce against them out of 12, scored 30 and scored 3 against them 8 times!

It was strange because despite our appalling record against them I was still happy that we got them in the play offs rather than FGR or Dover.
After the first leg I wasn't quite so happy though!

When we come to Braintree (If we're still in business), It will probably be their biggest gate ever! There would be Orient fans everywhere, considering around 80% live in the Essex area, they'd be rolling in it!!! Been there twice for friendlies, didn't mind it to be honest.....but its local to where I live and I have family there...........

I'm pretty sure he'll soon be wheeling out some of his greatest hits. My personal favourite is the old 'only hope is Hartlepool being worse than us' though I'm sure many will have a soft spot for that timeless classic 'If there are two worse teams than us in the division they deserve to be relegated to the Unibond'
