We only have to win four out of seventeen games. We won't even be in a relegation scrap.
We've won 2 in 16 in league, so like I said if we carry our league form on we'll be in danger

We're doomed.
I wouldnt be so sure their are 6/7 very poor teams in this league which in other conference seasons would gone down. Us included. I think we will finish 18th due to our record in the Mini league at the bottom

Our record against the current bottom six

Played 7 W6 D0 L1 F14 A8

Alfreton and Telford the only two with a hope of getting out of it. Dartford and Nuneaton are gone.

Welling look well on their way as well so then it's one from: Alfreton, Telford, Southport and Aldershot

All my opinion of course and anything can happen if one of them goes on a two or three game winning run

Our next three games are key. Welling (H), Alfreton (A), Dartford (H). We will know our fate by the end of the month.

Agreed....what's your over/under?
I'm going 6 points, but that defeat can't be Alfreton.

We need to win all of them, end of. But if we have to lose, or draw, one I say it would have to be Dartford.

Any update on your managerial vacancy? Been a couple of weeks since the football genius left.

On 25th April 2009 Chester travelled to Aldershot knowing that nothing short of a win would almost certainly consign Chester to a return to non-league football. After a plucky Ryan Lowe inspired 2-2 draw Aldershot fans mockingly waved us out of the league. They say what goes round comes round and we travel to Adershot for our final away game on 18th April. I'll be there.

Yes, Karma or what. Mind I think last game is Grimbo away and there is a little matter of Div 3 relegation history there too!!

I said at the time all that shit would come back and bite us on the arse. After Rotherham failed in the playoffs a couple of years back when they beat us and lost in the final, plenty of numpties on our board went on theirs and gave them dogs abuse, two years later they sent us back to non-league. Karma. And I can see it happening again. But you will be more than welcome at ours, especially if you bring the pretty young thing in your avi.

Same to us, too.

Mentioned it before, but one guy rocked up to our game with a blue square on his head (well, technically a blue cube).

We took a slap at the station after the game... Probably deserved in hindsight

As for Chester, I remember plenty of Shots fans clapping their team off at the end of that game.

Memories, "You're Chistahhh an yer garwinn daaannn".

Didn't actually bother me as much as when Peterborough did it for some reason, probably the impending financial doom that was to hit us.

A spell in Conference South could be good for Aldershot, like it was for us. A chance to consolidate off the pitch and rebuild on it. The feel good factor around the club eventually came back and so did the floating fans. Saying that, there's even more money in that league than ever now and if it wasn't for getting such a highly experienced manager in who understands that the club is working off limited resources, chances are we'd still be there or lower.

Massive run of games for us now with 6 of our next 8 against Teams in the bottom half.

Our fixtures are

Braintree (A)
Aldershot (H)
Dartford (H)
Telford (A)
Kiddy (H)
(Dartford (A)
Lincoln (H)
Chester (H)

Should be conceivably targeting 5 wins and two draws

Not brilliant ... 17 points from 17 games, but improving.

I think if we went down and challenged for promotion or won promotion straight away it could re-ignite a bit of enthusiasm and be a good chance for the club to re-group and come back stronger, but if we go down and don't do well then I fear it could finish the club off. There just doesn't seem to be the appetite to re-build a club all over again like there was in 92.

You won't go down and I don't think Southport or Alfreton will either. My money is on Welling + the bottom 3.

After their performance yesterday, I think Welling have enough to stay up. Current bottom four to go down for me.

Think you will know a whole lot more about our chances of survival by the End of February.

We finish the month with

Aldershot (H)
Dartford (H)
Telford (A)

Could easily acquire 9/9 from those if on our game but we must be looking at a bare minimum of 7.

I think Alfreton will survive at the expense of Southport.
