Ours out nice and early. Shame to see Sobowale released and a bit baffled as to why we’ve offered Dunkley a contract as he’s been terrible these past 6 months. Doubt Marosi and Udoh will stay but here’s hoping. Happy that Sraha is staying on too.

Big rebuild for your lot then? Much like us, really.

Won't be much meat on the retained list bone for us, and I think we're all fine with that.

Decisions were made in the week and the players told. Can tell Marosi won't be signing a new deal by the way he was applauding the fans before and after the game. Can't see Dunkley signing either.

Probably not the best time to tell players before the final game given the way they played for 70 minutes yesterday!

I hope we'll see a lot of released players but I think there's a good chance we might see more than I'd like retained. I could see us offering contracts to Kachunga, Cousins, even trying to get Bonne back.

If it were possible I'd only keep Liam Bennett, Andrew, Jobe, Rossi, Morrison.

The biggest challenge will be moving on contracted players that are not up to the level - Lankester, May, Simper (possibly Digby too..). I'd get rid of both keepers too.

I can finally get back to watching Bennetts career again without the need of hating the guy. Was in the year above him in school and you could tell he was class, alongside Danny Guthrie in the same year.

Is he retiring now, or just released and get another club?

Not sure I'd be as ruthless as that, but yeah it's going to be an interesting rebuild. Think Lankester and Digby have to stay, I'm okay with the keepers but think we've got ourselves in a bit of a twist there, suspect Will will want to move on and everything with Stevens is based around confidence, so moving pieces around without breaking the lad is almost impossible....

Would be very surprised to see Bonne back, Taylor also, and I'd be shocked if Rennett AND Morro were both signed up. Kach I'm kind of fine with whichever way it goes, good player but if he is one of the very top earners, not up to that value, even if I think his footballing intelligence could be handy switching to radically different system.

When's the damn thing going to be released, that's all I wonder!

Think he’s retiring but not 100% certain. I imagine he’ll either come back here as a coach or sign part time for Telford if he is to stay within the footballing world.

No surprises for us. Danny Hylton going down as arguably our worst ever signing, rumoured to be the highest earner, never scored for us and spent more of his time at Luton.

Can see Sam Sherring going to a big L1 club, Charlton, Barnsley etc. Would be delighted if he stayed though.

A number of players with ropey injury history offered reduced terms apparently, Burge, Fox and McWilliams.

Still have 8 contracted defenders but could do with moving a few on as some are not up to L1 level. A huge amount of work needed at the top of the pitch!

Most can fuck off imo, doubt many will stay in L1...just not good enough. We will know tomorrow I believe.
The only ones we can realistically get money for are Antony Evans and Luke Thomas, unless some mug wants Jevani Brown

We scouted Sherring a few times in the last 2 years. Tried to sign when he signed for you if rumours are to be believed. We need defenders this summer so wouldn't be shocked if we tried again.

Would be a great signing for you. He has been very solid for us despite playing with a number of different CB partners at times. Has suffered with the odd injury issue, but in general he has played quite a bit in his time here and is well thought of by all.

At first I thought he could push to be in the championship but I think upper end of L1 is where he is at currently. Hes comfortable on the ball and still actually defends well. Turns 24 next week so means we would not get any compensation sadly, but the perfect age signing for anyone really, room to improve and has sell on value. Think it would be an astute signing for anyone at this level.

Nathan Jones has all but said there will be a massive rebuild this summer as the current players aren't good enough. Expecting quite a large released list.

Our is out and Wellens has been quoted about the decisions!

First-team players under contract: Jayden Sweeney, Dan Agyei, Jordan Brown, Joe Pigott, Brandon Cooper, Sam Howes, George Moncur, Omar Beckles, Ollie O’Neill, Ethan Galbraith, Max Sanders, Jordan Graham, Rhys Byrne, Zech Obiero, Charlie Pegrum

First-team players in contract discussions with the club: Tom James, Jack Simpson, Dan Happe, Ruel Sotiriou, Theo Archibald, Darren Pratley, Noah Phillips

Loan players to return to their parent clubs: Sol Brynn, Idris El Mizouni, Shaq Forde, Dan Adu-Adjei, Khayon Edwards

First-team players to leave the club following the expiration of their contracts: Rob Hunt, Adam Thompson, Harrison Sodje, Emmanuel Harvest, Jephte Tanga, Ethan Light

No real suprises in there in all honesty, maybe that Darren Pratley hasn't retired! Adam Thompson and Rob Hunt will both do jobs in the league below, Hunt played his fair share this season but he is limited going forward and is a bit injury prone.

I'd expect Jack Simpson to sign, as well as Darren Pratley who will be playing into his 40s.

Theo Archibald was the big question mark and the club have probably offered him reduced terms as he is likely to be out injured until Feb/March next year.

I've heard that Dan Happe and Ruel Sotiriou are both likely to leave - Sotiriou is under 24 still so we're entitled to a fee for him.

Tom James I'd be happy to keep, can get caught out defensively but has his uses going forward - but wouldn't be suprised if another League One side got him.

Noah Phillips is a youth keeper.

As for the loans: Sol Brynn was ok in goal overall but is still developing and prone to mistakes, I'd take El-Mizouni and Forde back but the likelyhood of this is very unlikely. Both will play for bigger clubs sooner rather than later.

Surely we’re going to try and move that fat lump Moncur on this summer. Gillingham like signing our reserves - just tell them he’s even better than Ethan Coleman and they’ll be begging to take him.

Also, we’ve been in talks with El Miz for weeks. There is a non-zero chance he’s going to come back on a permanent.

Soririou’s agent is whoring him to Championship clubs but no takers so far. He’ll sign back here if (/when, let’s face it) he doesn’t get a 2nd tier club. Happe transfer to Posh is arranged and waiting for the Edwards bids to roll in.

Joe Piggott is fucking useless. Not a contract detail, just wanted to say it.

Darren Pratley what a man. He'll still be playing at 50
Surely feel that his contract negotiation is for joining the backroom staff. To be fair to him though he still doesn't look past it. A lot of your fans were saying his legs were gone back when we signed him, but he's done a decent job for us.

He was definitely struggling a bit but was still an important player for us this season he left. It felt like he could do a job in League Two still but I'm surprised that he managed to do as well as he did and is still going

Ours has been released and disappointingly we’ve offered kachunga a new deal, monk must see something in him that I don’t.

Interesting that talks are ongoing with cousins, I’m guessing he played a certain amount of games to trigger an extra year. Otherwise a pretty standard release list, a lot of work for strang and monk to do.

KTF.

Disappointing we've offered to Kaikai and Kachunga, and probably forced to take another year of Cousins. Possibly our three worst value pound-for-pound returns on their salaries for the full season (I don't have any knowledge on what they are but they must be three of the highest). With the former two I can only hope we've lowballed them.

Not shedding too many tears on the 4 listed. Simper and May is correct, I would have kept Lankester over Kachunga but accept it hasn't really happened for him over a sustained period, and I'd have probably kept Okedina over Rossi given the latter's injury problems, but Rossi is better.

Keen eye on where Kai Yearn ends up too. I think we've ballsed his development right up but the true story about what has happened doesn't seem to have surfaced yet.

Assuming all those offered sign, then we have 10 of 11 (minus a striker) that probably started together for us in the past month (maybe not Morrison given his injury, but 9 looks certain), which is disappointing given how the season went. We will need some high quality signings now to usurp some of those 10, and given those who are staying that will probably mean a significant increase in the budget (which always gives me the jitters).

So Pompey have just released their retained list. There's a few decent players in those who weren't offered a contract at League One level.

I suspect Raggett and Rafferty will get plenty of interest at League One level and both have been brilliant for us this season. Lee Evans probably has something to offer too if he stays fit while Matt Macey is a solid keeper at this level.

I'm expecting Pack and Ogilvie to sign and hopefully Morrell and Swanson do too. If not, there are four excellent League One players up for grabs there.

Hopefully we are in for Raggett. Localish lad and would be a fantastic signing
