It happened twice though and was pretty unsavoury and uncalled for in my opinion. He rightly should be pleased that he'd scored but to deliberately wind up the fans - what's the point? They were both odd and over the top celebrations for what was essentially just another mid season game between two midtable outfits.

Meh its all bants, he dived if I recall, got battered for it, second later Kiko did some skill and made him look stupid in front of said fans so was embarrassed and wanted to give it back (all be it to the opposite side of the pitch's supporters). He was a cock yes but if we give it out we should take it back.

Agreed its a give and take thing. Can see both teams finishing mid table, think you guys lack someone like a Zakuani who just headers everything in sight. We still need a pacy striker up top along with a winger, but thought even thought they didnt score thought Richards and Revell led the line well.

Agree, we are a small side in terms of height (bar Big Reg who cant head - barring is quality headed finish Saturday) problem at the moment is both our centre halves are highly rated kids and Smith is expected to fetch a big fee in January so might be worth investing that in a more big ugly 6'3 centre half to partner Streete. Always rated Zakuani from his Posh days.

Thought Zakuani was superb and like you say, won everything in the air. I believe Page tried to sign him for Vale and he's an excellent defender at this level. We're too short and small all round which will always leave us susceptible to conceding from free kicks and corners, especially when the delivery is good. This doesn't bode well against AFC Wimbledon next week who are a team of giants. You can be organised all you want but if the other team has taller and stronger players, you're always likely to concede from set pieces.

Strangely I'm not too downhearted as like I say on another day with better defending from set pieces, we might have won and thought we played better than we have for a few weeks.

I think we're more disappointed than anything as we started the season with real promise and it shows in the number of people that turn up, that people don't want to just have us playing out the mid table championship again. We seem to have the season virtually over by March.

I'll be interested to see what Plan B is, which I assume will be invoked as we won't be in the top 6 come Christmas. Let's hope we bring some experienced older heads in, as this seems to work for other teams.

Do we go with plan B though? With all our injuries we have finally given a chance to youth (only Tavares and Taylor over 23 Saturday?) and the performances of those coming in the past two games shows real promise, especially Kiko, De Freitas and Amoros, I'd stick with this side with only the odd change and give it a proper run to build, someone like Thomas has to come back in, and with Grant on Saturday we would likely not have been hit on the break as easily for the goals but Grant is likely to go soon so build Amoros into that position! Looks a lot quicker going forward without Grant.

I agree, there is definite promise there and with a regular start, I can see a few of these players becoming really good. It just depends how long you give it. Do we be patient and let them develop with the risk that we might get dragged in to a dog fight or do we bring in one or two experienced players with a view to consolidating ourselves in the league with a view to pushing on next season?

The most disappointing aspect of all this is that I suspect the season might be over in terms of worthwhile targets and we're not even half way through. We look to have enough to stay up but don't look anywhere near the play offs at the moment. People aren't going to go and watch us scrap out in mid table sadly.

Thought it was pretty entertaining game really, up until the first goal it almost seemed end to end with both having attacking intent. We just lacked that clinical edge where it mattered. It's poor to concede in the manner we did however, set pieces should be your bread and butter as a defender but to lose men twice like we did is not good enough. The third was just a result of us leaving Streete up front and only 1 centre half whilst chasing the equaliser.

Frustrating but the performance was much much better than previous weeks. Iron out those defensive lapses and we should turn the corner.

You say that but it is so tight a couple of wins and we are in the mix again with AFC Wimbledon, Walsall, Chesterfield and Oldham there are points there to be had if we play well enough and defend better. (Zonal experiment failed spectacularly) Cobblers lost four on the bounce, Dale were bottom as were AFCW at the start yet a couple of wins and its turned around...

We lose Zakuani in January fro the African Cup unfortunately.
Little Sam Hoskins has been close many times this season without putting the ball into the net (hitting posts, bars, goalkeepers etc..)
It was his first goal this season for us after a very frustrating period, he probably didn't even realise who he was running towards in his orgasmic celebratory state...
