Absolutely shocking performance from us, by far the worst we've played under Johnson. Showed Rochdale zero respect by resting our best 3 outfield players and paid the price. The attacking tempo set against Everton was non-existent and I lost count of misplaced short passes and aimless punts to no-one. Totally the opposite to Wednesday night.

That said, Rochdale looked a very good side. Defense seems to have been shored up, midfielders were driving forward and looking for a forward pass all the time, and that lump Andrew might have an abominable scoring record but he held the ball up well after smashing one in early on, which is more than can be said for the feckless twit we had up top in the first half. The only player for us that looked even remotely dangerous was Harris, but he didn't get enough of the ball which is deeply frustrating given he was up against Tom Kennedy.

Fair play Dale, think you might be dark horses to do well this season on that showing. Only good thing about today was the fish and chips before hand and the plant pot business for the last half hour of the game when our fans had completely lost interest. I expect better next weekend against Shrewsbury.
