Play like we did for the first 72 minutes and we'll give the Aussies a game. Defended superbly, Gale's kicking game was much better than it has been and the error count was much lower (good discipline in such an overwhelming atmosphere).

Bizarre why Tonga kept Taumalolo and Fifita off the pitch for so long though.

Gutted. Easily the better side - Widdop, Watkins and Hill were all awesome. Too many handling errors in the opposition half unfortunately.

As a whole that's gone far better than I thought it would when they flew out.

Unlucky at end and certainly came into the game 2nd half but Aussies were the better side.

Agreed that the Aussies were the better side, there defence has been nothing short of superb throughout the tournament and stopped everything that England could throw at them (oh for a decent halfback). Gutted that Josh Dugan got that ankle tap on Kallum Watkins, the Aussies were physically spent and a try there would have seen England win imo.

Also just how underrated is Matt Gillett? He's taken his game to a whole other level these past two years and another brilliant performance tonight.

Leeds made a good start to the superleague crown, shame Cas didn't but I don't think they will be half as good anyway

Cherry and whites doing the business so far. The Tomkins/Tommy L/Escare/Powell rotation tactic is rather exciting - forwards have started well too with Bateman to return.

Would love a Wigan, Saints and Leeds battle at the top - like the good old days.

Leeds crushed by Melbourne again, as bad as the defeat was I can't help thinking the defeat would have been a lot closer with a few of our big forwards available, completely outmuscled
