Also Bingham has a bright future ahead of him and i think murray will keep him.

Newton impressed me when I've seen him play before. Think maybe L1 was too much for him (clearly given some reactions!) but with the right guidance here and there he'd be decent at this level

Going forward he's probably alright, he's got a great left foot but he can't defend - he was shite defensively in the Conference too, we were told that. He's slow as fuck, turns like a canal boat and his defensive positioning is utterly abysmal. I guess in a really good team where he's on the half-way line all game and can just whip balls in, he'd look brilliant - but even in League 2, there's no way a left-back can get away with being so bad defensively. Frankly, he wasn't up to much going forward either because it used to take him so long to run into space with the ball or overlap.

I'm fairly sure that Bird will be released this week (player meetings today and a few have already said goodbye on social media). He is certainly out of contract and we'll be looking over the summer for someone who offers more than his goal scoring knack.

Our Admiral, Nelson, may well be heading in your general direction, but more likely at a lower level. Full list likely tomorrow I guess.

Edit - I've just heard that list will be out today.

Tranmere might fancy a look at Sean O'Hanlon... released by us, and perhaps at the end of his League career now, lives in Liverpool and would probably do a cracking job in the Conference.

Robbie Simpson came back to us (fairly) successfully after 7 years and Luke Chadwick left our terraces, if not our team, to join the Man U youth set up, making his first team debut 15 years before returning to don the amber and black shirt.

But I can't see Nelson pitching up at Victoria Park. He had a few valuable games for us when he came in to fill a gap but, apart from the odd occasion, since Christmas he's looked more like a Conference going on Conference North player for next season.

It has been rumoured that we are interested in Kayode Odejayi. I doubt we would sign him though.

We have been let down by returning players over the last few years, no appetite for it I think...also , I think Ronnie is looking for a higher quality player

That would be a decent front line, but quite frankly I doubt Green is coming back.

We've already offered contracts in principle to Jason Kennedy and David Atkinson who ended the season on loan to us and have been released by Bradford and Middlesbrough respectively.

Not sure on Atkinson, but Kennedy hasn't actually been released yet. He's going for talks with Bradford this week, but in all likelyhood he probably won't be offered a new deal there.

Ah. I did notice the wording was ' offer in principle' presumed though it was that released players don't technically become free agents until June

Well it sounds like he wants to sign for us judging by his interview in the press today so hopefully the contract will be finalised soon regardless of whether bradford release him or not

Says another club are in for him as well, Lummy seemed to think York might fancy trying to get him so could be them. He seems pretty set on coming here though which is brilliant.
