To be fair it was the way all your players ran towards your fans as soon as the whistle went, it was the sort of celebrations you'd do after achieving something like a promotion or sneaking into the playoffs, or avoiding relegation not winning a single game in isolation.

Thats just my opinion, I personally would rather my team went a bit mad like that after we'd achieved something. I wouldn't have done that, but I guess thats the way I think in football - always the next game unless you've got over the line with your objectives - See Arsenal last season when they won some key games, I thought they went a bit over the top when they beat Bounemouth and Liverpool - they still ultimately achieved nothing.

But thats just the way I see it, football bites you back quickly.
If we don’t go up I don’t think us celebrating a win after being 1-0 down in the 92nd minute is football biting us back. It’s celebrating in the moment.

Jones particularly enjoyed it becuase he received abuse all game and was even spat at by an Orient fan at one point.

Charlton have been crap bar the odd few moments for the best part of 15 years, we have every right to celebrate what is a massive win against a play off rival.

1-1 FT.

We battered them second half, had a penalty very late on (that was not a penalty) Akins, a Burton Albion legend then proceeds to sky it and he never misses penalties. Chance after chance, including some great saves from their GK means the points are miraculously shared.

We drawn against Burton both times this season and I have no idea how we’ve not won both of them comfortably. Just like against Blackpool the other week we don’t take the chances to win the game.
We had half of our team missing today showing how paper thin our squad is as we played with no recognised striker. We played poor as well and looked short of pace without Burrell. But a point I will take. Never a penalty but very surprised he missed. 3 months ago we lose that.
Atmosphere was good today. Even a derby fan turned up, started singing songs, got a slap and thrown out by stewards. That was the highlight for me. Bellend.

No wonder you lot celebrated like it was the last thing you'll ever get to enjoy

Exactly, we always beat you it was like meh.

I’d have taken losing to you for the first time in about 2 decades to be on a better run, for sure

We are so shit. Since December we have looked utterly bereft of ideas. Would lump money on us going down.

Join the club mate, annoying isn’t it.

Personally feel like those sort of results, like the Blackpool game other week have a similar impact on confidence than losing a game, when you play well and do more than enough to win but still only come away with a point.

No!!!

You can’t enjoy yourself unless you score with the final kick of the game of the final game of the season to win the league!

At least now I know, will save myself a fortune not going to the first 45 games of the season.

But you've still achieved nothing this season so far though, also anyone celebrating like that against a low level old boys club like us needs to give their head a bit of a wobble to be honest - its a bit of a weak mentality given what we have at our disposal compared to the rest of the teams around us :dk:

Agreed, what weak mentality we have to go from 1-0 down in the 92nd minute to winning the game after 97! So weak!

Anyway, can you PM me the rules for celebrating wins as I seemed to have missed them.

So far I’ve got:

1) Can’t celebrate a win unless you lift a trophy immediately after.

2) Can’t celebrate a win against a club smaller than you.

This is fascinating stuff, I’d love to have a word with the Orient fans who celebrated their opener this afternoon as they hadn’t even achieved anything in that game let alone the season! Weak minded individuals they must be.

To be clear, I have no issue with players/teams benches celebrating said goals and giving it back to the crowd.

But at the end for everyone to charge towards your supporters like you've won the league was a bit OTT, especially Jones diving into the crowd - I mean come on, you've achieved nothing yet and as I said we're not worthy enough opponents for that sort of celebration at this stage of the season, we don't have the resources like most others. :shut:

Also fist pumping - IMO a waste of time unless you've actually met your goals and achieved something. I saw Chris Davies do it the other night agianst us, what really has it come to that a club with ten times the financial power of ours does that to celebrate a win over us when they've not yet won the league.

You have to stay humble to yourselfs.

Stockport gotta be fancying their chances at the minute, in sensational form.

I wish we had to play them again nevertheless so we can finally win a game.

Quite a common theme on here.

It’s a football fan natural defensive mechanism when feeling salty after a loss.

Problem is, Orient fans thought they were genuine play-off candidates, realisation is kicking in and it hurts, I get it.

It’s not just Orient fans though, seen loads of it on here, in fact there’s at least fans from two other clubs on this thread guilty of it from wins that happened ages ago lol.

Orient are a good side, and if they finish top 10 after the start they had it’s been a good season.

Got no problem with your fans going mad after the win in that manner, but as I said the players/manager did go over the top a bit.

Arsenal's players did it the other week and last season too, they just went a bit over the top when they've not achieved anything, just hope for your sake your players don't fall into the same trap.

Personally I didn't, we've been punching above our weight for a few months, Wellens has worked a minor miracle as we've not got the backing most of the other top ten sides have.

We was 21st 4 months ago and some were calling for all sorts of changes to be made.

Why celebrate anything ever?

I still feel silly celebrating us getting promoted five years ago now that we're going down, and I don't even know why I celebrated beating the richest team in the world on their own patch as we didn't go on to win the FA Cup. Pointless to celebrate.

And that's all before I celebrated beating a team who'll go down with us this afternoon, fat lot of good that's gonna do, eh?

Christ, they say you can’t celebrate a win like that at Orient is the day you just stop bothering with football.

Supporting a lower league team is tough and let’s be honest most of our times supporting our teams is miserable, you live for the moments like Charlton had today.

Yes it hurts Orient fans, but that’s life. You’d do the exact same if it was the other way round at the Valley.

Don't see a problem with that Charlton celebration. They thought they were going to lose the game, and scored 2 last minute goals to turn it around. Jones is a very emotional guy. Winning it puts them right back in it. If you can't celebrate the way that game went, when can you celebrate.

As for us, we’re shit. No fight in the team. It was always more likely that our home form would drop off than our away form picking up.

3 losses on the bounce is the worst time to be dropping like a stone.

And honestly, I’m almost at the point of not caring with the setup we have

At least here you can celebrate a goal rather than being in the PL and the goal you’ve celebrated has been disallowed as someone’s little finger was offside

The Icelandic Gun Man coming on and winning us the game. Only 19 years of age too. Could be another future star that has been scouted. It just proves that recruitment is not all about money but that some clubs like us can do it with high footballing IQ.

It was the manager who probably got the ball rolling for the comeback yesterday, changed shape and personnel at half time which changed the complexion of the game. Blackpool looked a decent side but they remembered who they were up against second half and were less bold.

Looking at the results from around the grounds, some interesting results and some really quite un interesting ones too.

Shout out to Burton Albion. An excellent point given the injuries they have.

Happy anniversary to Rotherham United.

It's 3 years, 36 months, 156 weeks, 1096 days, 26,304 hours since we last won away on a Saturday.

Bristol Rovers away today.

Will it ever end?

It finally ended.

I wouldn't though unless we'd achieved something, thats just the way I think - the next game is the most important.

You wouldn't see the elite sides like Peps City, or Fergies Man Utd or Wengers Arsenal doing those over the top things for a game in isolation.

But maybe my expectations are too high? :dk:
