Weather forecast predicts that England will be under snow at weekend so guess some / most games will be postponed.
Lets hope when rearranged we can watch them in the sunshine.

If we are to make top 3 we need to start doing a lot better at VP than we have done all season. Think we are languishing down in the bottom half of the league for home record (and conversely top for away) so it’s pretty glaring. Challenge for Moore as he’s shown he can set up to dig in for an away result is how we set about trying to impose ourselves at home on Barrow who are clearly a bit short of confidence even though I think they’re not really in any danger of a relegation scrap.

Got a cup tie Tuesday first but this is a huge game now as we need to try and build on two positive improved performances and try and build some momentum again.

Garrity has made a huge difference being back which is a plus and with Sang back for this and potentially Stockley, Harper and Byers returning we could be stacked with an almost full side to pick from for the first time since September which gives us the options.

Hopefully the motivation will be there to put the reverse fixture to bed in this as well with that second half horror show (well last 15 minutes)!

We have some winnable home fixtures coming up now so need to try and get some performances and results at Vale Park to compliment the superb away record if we are serious about promotion.

Will be interesting to see if any further incoming after a very positive debut for Headley (another positive being him and Mitch Clark being back from a broken neck giving us some genuine quality at wing back).

Our game against barrow will be off due to a frozen pitch. Going be minus 6 Wednesday night and minus 5 Thursday night so no chance it will be on. Even the game against Wrexham tomorrow might get postponed had alot of sno and rain yesterday and then another inch of snow today with rain forecasted later and minus 3 temperature tomorrow so can see both games being off.

Much deserved rest for our lads, as Bromley face Newcastle at St. James’ Park this weekend. What an occasion for them, and it might go some way in explaining their result at Crewe yesterday.

For us, it gives the club time to focus on the window.

Small matter of facing Villa u21’s on the 14th at Villa Park in the JPT, and then onto misfiring Carlisle United on the 18th - Brunton Park, a place we haven’t won at since 1985.

Might go ahead as only down to 0c Friday night but will depend how deep the thaw us and what we decide to do in regards to deciding the day before.

If we chose to do it Friday with Barrow travelling in mind then it would be at a big risk of postponement I would think.

Forecast doesn’t look quite as cold up in Cleethorpes so hopefully ours should be okay.

We’ve done well in this one since Artell took over there, particularly in terms of scoring loads of goals. It’s a bit of an underrated chaos fixture in the last few years, always some madness going on.

Feels like an opportunity to try and start creating a breakaway group looking at second and third with a bit of a gap to the teams just outside the top seven.

We’ve obviously picked up loads after Maynard ditched some of his more annoying tactical ideas when we got hammered at Salford, which has coincided with a lot of injured players returning. I suspect the decent form of Austin, Martin and Tsaroulla out wide means we’ll stay patient with Jones and leave him on the bench again, but you never know after a full week’s training.

Would hope Macari is back from illness for this as well. Rod McDonald has done fine covering, but him and Platt in the same defence is a bit too slow for my liking and we lose a bit of quality on the ball.

We've been better away thankfully so I'm hopeful going into this one. Just please beat Williamson, that's all. Even better if it's the result that tips their owners over the edge.

I’m sorry but what the actual fuck?

Why are you wanting to tip our owners over the edge? They paid you 200k for apparently the worst manager you’ve ever had. You should be thanking them. You should never stop thanking them.

You want to win, that’s fair enough. But come on…

Because them sacking him after a loss to us after paying us a lot of money for him is hilarious

No worries here. We have no pace whatsoever in our squad.

Accept you’ve scored goals against us in the last two fixtures, but you’ve not won an EFL fixture at Blundell Park since Feb 2010.

I would add that I expect that to change on Saturday, assuming the game goes ahead. FA Youth game v Spurs called off for tonight due to waterlogging and freezing temperatures may cause a problem ( not helped by early kick off)

Everyone's favourite game of basketball this one, isn't it? All I ask is that we play Green, Thompson, Rodgers, Tharme, McJannet and Cass and just try to kick the shit out of Jodi Jones but we all know Artell won't do that and it's gonna be two teams just trying to outscore the other. We'd really help ourselves by trying to actually press and tackle them when they get the ball this time. One the positive side of things, we're better at what we're trying to do than we were in August so we should cause Notts some problems if we show up.

Kick Jodi Jones too much and expect a #curse

Good news for Town as I seriously doubt he will start and when he's come on in last two games he looks understandably rusty. Nowhere near his GTFC terrorising standards.

Wouldn't be upset with a draw even though I know Grimsby don't do draws this season. If we want to be serious automatic promotion candidates we need to avoid defeat or match our rivals with a victory.

Think we will lose like the last time trying to play football against a team who have better players at it doesn't work and Artell won't change I doubt unless we mix it aswell which early away games suggested we could but we have reverted to tippa tappa at the back 30 times then just launching it to a 5 foot 8 striker with no one around him .

If Obikwu , Green and Thompson are fit I might change my viewpoint but think that's doubtful

I doubt Jones will start, looked well off the pace in his couple of sub appearances so far (understandably after a minor leg break), and Austin, Martin and Tsaroulla have all been in decent nick as wing backs recently so we don’t need to rush him back.

Can see a lot of games being off this Saturday with the big freeze expected. Hoping our game with Swindon goes ahead though. I fancy us to beat them given how open they look at the back and we've suddenly found our scoring boots at the same time!

I'd rather ours does too whilst Barrow are so out of form, plus finally have some momentum we can build on, been bad up S-o-T today though with it to get colder so less likely.

Anyway I have my doubts about this match even going ahead looking at the forecasted temperatures.

What chance would you give it? It's been too stressful having games every three days when you're shite, so personally I could do with a good week or so off from it all.

Hard to say. The snow actually works in the pitch's favour. The longer it stays it will stop the frost getting to it as it keeps it insulated. The bigger risk is the surrounding areas. That's what's got the game called off tonight

Looks like gets down to -8c in the coming days but barely over 1c so if that sets in under the covers onto the pitch then it’s likely off. As said though the snow may help things on the pitch.

Always seem to have high scoring games with Grimsby so no reason this won’t be complete chaos from the off.

Concerns for us are the absence of Ness/Macari leaving us without a natural RCB and Big Al Jatta going off with a head knock - would be his 3rd concussion of the season which…is not good. If so he’ll be done for 3 weeks.

Plenty of positives though with Jones working his way back and Grant, Edwards and new boy Jarvis all on the bench.

I'd like to see Martin up the middle again at some point, he was a revelation at Cheltenham, like a new signing.
