County and grimsby an interesting one, especially after not winning the opening game and then being dispatched with relative ease by lincoln and mansfield respectively neither side will want to go 3 games into the season without a win.

Looking at grimsbys august that’s a tough gig, with 3 tough home games on paper coming up too.

Grimsby double chance at 11/10 looks good.
Yeah our start is horrible, our opening 8 includes 6 of the top 8 most fancied going off the bookies odds. You're right, neither side will want to go three matches without a win but I'm not reading too much into Tuesday. Hursty had a tinker against a well settled side who were obviously well up for.

At the same time it’s pretty obvious how to hurt that side, focus down your right against our striker playing at left back.

Didn't watch it personally but sounded like Eisa didn't get much of the ball, Rose was isolated, Gnahoua looked like someone who hasn't been with us more than 5 mins and your midfield just overran ours. Bad day at the office, but Hursty has held his hands up. Should be a tougher match for you at BP in a few weeks hopefully.

The Murenger across the road from Tiny Rebel is a good old school boozer with Sam Smiths on tap. Potters also good. The indoor market is next to Tiny Rebel - prob best option for food.

I didn't realise they had a Sam Smiths pub in Newport. What are the prices like; has it got above £1 a pint yet? Wrexham's never had one, but they had two in Chester, and you could have a good night out for under a tenner. Including BFH.

I'd leave Tiny Rebel to the hipsters who don't like proper beer. They're The Welsh Brewdog.

I have absolutly no idea about Tranmere.
Neither do we!

We've got a new manager who is looking to play a totally different style to that of the old one, so its going to take time to bed in. That being said, we went to Barnsley on Tuesday and played very well, looking the better team for the most part.

Assume we will line up something like this:

McGee
O'Connor Davies Turnbull Leake
Morris Walker Hendry
Saunders Norris Hawkes

We'll have a go under Dawes, and we do have players at the top end of the pitch who can score goals. Still think a narrow defeat is the most likely outcome though.
We've sold 650 tickets so far, so we should fetch around 800 on the day.

Last two visits to Meadow Lane have been absolutely ridiculous late 2-1 wins for us, so Notts are certainly owed some fortune in this
Not sure about that as the previous game they got a last minute winner at Blundell Park after we battered them the whole game so they had their luck there.
Plus despite us winning both games at their place late we thoroughly deserved them both whereas the game at our place they deserved naff all but nicked the win.

Battered them the whole game = lots of possession in opposition half but hardly tested the goalkeeper all game.

A draw would have been a fair result that day before that late late winner as nobody did anywhere near enough to claim a deserved victory let alone battering.

Noted. If you class that game as a battering, a pinch of salt is needed for all GTFCfish's match reviews.

I wasn’t at the Barrow game, but by all accounts Walker was totally off the pace. Dawes likes Paul Lewis and almost certainly he’ll start. Otherwise I’d agree with your line-up and assessment.

Tiny Rebel are hundreds of times better than Brewdog.

The Sam Smiths pub there is nice though, can't remember exactly how cheap it was but it was typical Sam Smiths prices.

I can’t go to Notts now because of my puppy.
Been looking forward to this all week, managed to flog my ticket this morning on Twitter but I’m absolutely fucking gutted.
Bollocks.

Moving in with my missus at some point mid-season last season, I had to make a choice between watching the Prem and watching Town. When I was living alone it was fine, I just had the Prem on all the time it seemed, mostly it's just background noise. I've been out the loop since November really and it's amazing how out of touch I've become.

Wimbledon away. First trip to the new ground.

Going for a 2-1 loss. Well be playing catch up for a couple of weeks yet after that farce of a pre season.
Hopefully Parky puts our best midfielder in midfield this week and not at the back

Sold out the away end, looking like a large amount will miss the start or the whole game. Motorway at a standstill people out of cars/buses waiting

This early on in the season and Wrexham already being motorwayed out of the title.

Got rid of sky in about 2015 and hardly watched any prem games since. I watch the occasional game when deployed but that's about it.

Only if he has nice puppies.

Just about to leave and it's chucking it down here.

Same here Gladders, don't even bother with MOTD either. Much prefer watching EFL from league 2 to Championship level.

Premiership has become very sterile in my opinion. Its changed beyond recognition to when we graced it for a couple of years 1999-2001

What's Notts County Zone? I've never heard of it. Sounds like our poor defending of corners.

A massive WUM on twitter.

Another we can get at Wimbledon would be a bonus. Expecting to lose, but hopefully a better performance than last weekend.

Well our team looks better. An actual RWB at RWB and Ridehalgh on the bench. Gilliead isn't much better at LWB but at least he can run. Bit more optimistic now.

Well atleast we've started with O'connor in midfield. Lee upfront with Palmer not a fan of that. McClean makes his debut in center mid
